Daily Inspiration: Meet Lil Scorpio King

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lil Scorpio King.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started off rapping in the 6th grade while joining two music groups first was in middle school 2 Nd was in high school but both groups broke up. Then I created my own with two bestfriends from high school called zodiac signs. Which formed and founded in 2017 when we dropped our first single called “Zooted,” which touch the city and spark it in a big good way. Fast forward 4-5 years later, we still rocking. But between 2017-2021, my life has got serious.

Dealing with personal life issues and challenges, my mother and grandma passed away, so that scared me, but also motivate me to actually keep going after my dream without giving up. Doesn’t matter if I have it all figured it out or not cause I really don’t have it all figured out just yet; as I go through my journey, I want to inspire others, letting them know you don’t have to be doing anything in the streets even know I come from that, you still can overcome it and do something business-wise and still come up. I look up to other music artist such as Michael Jackson my favorite artist of all time, drake, Kanye west, j.cole & Kendrick Lamar… they all have something I can relate to through they music alone. That’s what I’m looking forward to bringing to the music game. Which is making an impact.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road, a lot of ups and downs… such as being broke. People not believing in you. Going through depression, thinking bout giving up, etc.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I rap, sing, song write, music coach other artist. Manage my music group zodiac signs. I’m known for making music and helping coach other artist. I’m most proud of not giving up in my journey. What sets me apart from others is my boldness, dedication and determination… while being 100% myself.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I learned along my journey was to not care about others’ opinions cause you damn if you do, you damn if you don’t.
