Daily Inspiration: Meet (Merlo) Henry Witherspoon

Today we’d like to introduce you to ( Merlo ) Henry Witherspoon.

Hi Henry, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started out with a real passion for connecting people in the entertainment industry. After working as a host and promoter at local clubs, I realized there was a gap: a space where models and talent could get more support and real opportunities. So, I launched my casting club. I started small, just with a handful of talented individuals, and gradually built relationships with agencies, brands, and venues. And now, I’m proud to say we’re a growing platform, helping talent get real exposure and paid gigs. once I had that initial spark, I started by attending networking events, meeting local photographers, designers, and even aspiring models who were looking for a better way to break into the industry. I invested a lot of time in understanding what models and brands really needed beyond just the glamour, but with real structure and career guidance. From there, I formalized the agency, brought in a team, and built a brand centered on empowerment, support, and growth. And today, we’re not just a casting club we’re a community that champions the next generation of talent.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. In fact, there were a lot of challenges early on. I faced a lot of skepticism from both talent and brands because, you know, starting out you don’t have that big name yet. I had to build trust, work long hours, and sometimes deal with slow growth. Plus, balancing budgets and making sure everyone got paid fairly was a big hurdle. But every challenge taught me something, and honestly, it made us stronger and more resilient. So, I’m really proud of how we keep pushing forward.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
So, what really sets me apart is that I bring a rare authenticity to the table. I’m known for being a stand-up person who truly connects individuals whether it’s models, brands, or creatives because I come from a place of genuine care. I also created a viral dance that went worldwide right here in Atlanta, which brought a lot of eyes to the culture. So, when it comes to my work, I specialize in creating those organic connections, helping talent build real careers, and being a bridge between dreamers and success.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I think success is really personal it’s about aligning your goals with your values. For me, it’s not just about money or fame; it’s about making a real impact, helping others reach their potential, and feeling fulfilled in the process. So, success, to me, is that balance between purpose, impact, and growth.
