Today we’d like to introduce you to Shavonne Anderson.
Hi Shavonne, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey really started with people. I’ve always loved creating spaces where others feel comfortable, celebrated, and at home. Whether that’s helping someone find the right house or bringing an event vision to life. I didn’t wake up one day with everything figured out. I learned by doing, by showing up, and by trusting that my creativity and gifts would open doors. Real estate came naturally because I genuinely care about guiding people through big life moments. Buying or selling a home can feel overwhelming, and I pride myself on being someone clients can trust, lean on, and feel confident with from start to finish. Event planning grew from that same heart. My attention to detail, organization, and the joy of seeing people experience something special that was thoughtfully put together.
Today, I get to do work that feels aligned with who I am: serving others, creating beautiful experiences, and helping people step into new chapters of their lives. I’m grateful for the journey so far, and excited for what’s still being built.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, definitely not a smooth road at all. There were plenty of moments where I had to pause, pray, and trust God when things didn’t make sense. I’ve had deals fall through at the last minute, plans change unexpectedly, and seasons where I felt like I was giving my all and still waiting to see the results. There were times I questioned myself and wondered if I was really on the right path, but my faith kept me grounded. I’ve learned that every delay, setback, and challenge was God building me, not blocking me. Those moments strengthened my patience, sharpened my skills, and deepened my trust in Him. Looking back now, I can honestly say the struggles were necessary. They prepared me for the confidence and purpose I walk in today.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What I do really comes down to people and purpose. In real estate, I help people buy, sell, or invest in homes. I’m known for being present, honest, and deeply invested. I don’t believe in treating clients like transactions. I’m there for the excitement, the nerves, the questions, and sometimes the tears. I want people to feel seen, supported, and confident from start to finish. With event planning, it’s about creating moments that matter. I love taking someone’s vision (even if it’s just a feeling they can’t fully put into words yet), and bringing it to life. I’m known for my attention to detail, my creativity, and my ability to stay calm when things change, because they ALWAYS do. I care just as much about how people feel during the event as how everything looks. What I’m most proud of is the trust people place in me during some of the biggest moments of their lives. That’s something I never take lightly. What sets me apart is that I lead with faith, heart, and intention. This isn’t just work for me, it’s purpose. I truly believe God placed me in these spaces to serve, and I try to show that in everything I do.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was the classic mix of shy and social. I might not have walked into a room loud (until I was in my teens lol), but I was always paying attention. Once I felt comfortable, I’d open right up. I would be laughing, connecting, and finding my people. I was that person who made sure everyone had a seat, a place, and felt included. If someone looked uncomfortable or left out, I noticed. I loved being around people, especially during gatherings and celebrations, even if I wasn’t the center of attention. I enjoyed the behind-the-scenes roles: helping, organizing, decorating, or making things feel warm and welcoming. I’ve always had a soft spot for making spaces feel safe, fun, and full of connection. Looking back, it makes so much sense. That shy little girl who cared deeply about how people felt grew into someone who still leads with heart, joy, and intention. I may warm up slowly, but once I do, I’m all in, and I bring everyone with me.
