Daily Inspiration: Meet Sierra Green

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sierra Green.

Hi Sierra, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started singing in the church at age of 6 or 7. From there I did talent shows in school , a couple theater plays . When Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005 I moved to Oklahoma City and began singing at library’s and festivals. I then decided after 10 years of living in Oklahoma that I wanted to come home and start a band . I began busking on the corners acappella where then met several musicians and I started my very first band.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I can honestly say it’s been a smooth road challenges would be just keeping the same band members and sound over time. If some one wanted to create there own band or decide to move around that would be the only challenge I could think of

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a singer artist entertainer. I specialize in singing . I’m known for being the Queen of Frenchmen street . I’m most proud of my work ethic and the loyal band members that stuck behind me helping my dream . What sets me apart is my style my resilience and my culture.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Risk taking is necessary in any job you have to stand out and be seen . I took risk by packing up leaving Oklahoma for ten years and it landed me with management at a one point , playing in several festivals and traveling around the world.
