Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephania Cespedes Padilla. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Stephy, a novel artist born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 03, 2005, from a Colombian mother and Cuban father. She lacked the sense of hearing until her third birthday, which cause difficulties in her conventional learning development, in addition, she was diagnosed with retinitis Pigmentosa.
Her passion for dance, music and singing are persistent in her life. she began to develop her painting skill at the start of the pandemic and quarantine in 2020 when she was at home alone with an inner world desiring to manifest itself.
She dedicates herself to painting in an empirical way, without ever receiving formal classes Stephy points out that she has always felt a latent desire to communicate and bring to humanity a beautiful message “my eyes see, with the eyes of the heart.”
Stephy draws everything she carries inside her and desires to show it to the world an avalanche of passion, love, joys, sadness in general emotion.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Undertaking is not easy and less in a difficult time of pandemic since our product is not a basic product adding that our product is generated by someone who has a disability and this is not a very common issue which people are not used to recognizing and value it.
Another obstacle is that heavy investment in advertising and social media marketing is required.
The selection processes to participate in artistic events, be it art exhibitions, were not easy, except for his condition.
One of the most important challenges has been to have special aids, when you have a disability and the world focuses on assisting specific problems in people with blindness without taking into account that moderate to severe low vision is a disability that affects every day to more people with imperceptible but very large impacts.
The fact that my daughter did not have moments of leisure with young people her age, not enjoying interactive games, sports, shows and cultural events with normal vision not only affects her emotions and that of those around her, but also the perception of her and her environment and to a more general perception of collective behavior towards empathy with people who suffer from some disability.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I really enjoy drawing because it is where I express my emotions and I can transmit joy through my paintings. I allegorically paint eyes because it is precisely what I need the most, however, my eyes express the deepest feelings and through them, I show the world that the limitations are in the mind and not the physical.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
