Daily Inspiration: Meet Univer$al Flo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Univer$al Flo.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up in a musically inclined family… I began my journey late into it… even though I always had the love and passion for music. I didn’t start creating music until 2018, when I found myself, board, at work on a Saturday… I first began writing to ready established instrumentals and then slowly transitioned into finding unused beats. I started off with that hardcore rap/trap music and slowly pushed into the melodic music I make today… within in the first year of making music I went from recording to two studios to then building and recording in my own.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Hasn’t… I have had many moments of doubt and wanting to give up but I always reflect on what all I have invested and acquired during the entire process and it pushes me to go forth… whether it was being broke because I was building my studio and having a kid at the same time or trying to release projects and visuals with the arrival of covid.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I am well-rounded… I am really an example of put your mind to it you can do it. I’m an I.T. technician for one of the top franchise companies in the Bahamas. I am well known for my private repair work as well as my recording capabilities. I am definitely most proud of the way I train myself to learn to capabilities, whether its fixing electronics or record, mixing and mastering artist’s work in such a short period. I aim to be different in whatever I do… anyone can be the best today and tomorrow someone comes along who is better… so that is why in everything I do I try to do something in a different way and give ppl a different view on things.

How do you define success?
I see success as a means of finding a goal, setting that goal and going to great heights to achieve that goal…
