Today we’d like to introduce you to Ziggy O’Hare.
Hi Ziggy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always loved entertaining growing up. I started doing Irish dance and magic for my family and then it grew into music. When it comes to music I started out young freestyle rapping at just 8 years old with my cousin and playing the blues on guitar with my dad while he played the piano. I don’t really Irish dance much anymore and only sometimes magic tricks. That’s actually how we got our name ‘Magic Spade.’ The spade is formed with two L’s and we aim to be magical experience spreading love and loyalty. Eventually will implement comedy magic into our shows one day along with premiering our first TV shows, movies, animations, a radio show/ podcast, and so much more. I’ve always had a love for music, audio, and visual recording/production. From lyrics to recording mixing mastering, beat production, to brainstorming music videos and shooting and directing them. That’s where I’ve always lived. Wanting to tell stories through music and my arts and bringing people in the community together through said arts. Music speaks to me as well as others in higher levels we can’t begin to fathom. I’ve experienced a lot of pain and trauma and grief in my life at just 23 years old. From Losing my cousin at ten to gun violence, to my grandparents passing away soon after in middle school, to becoming homeless due to a neglectful parent, to drug addiction (now several years clean) and rekindling a relationship with my father until he passed away in 2023 and becoming homeless again because of it. Never backing down at any circumstance that was thrown my way is my biggest flex and will always be. I’m not the type of artist that brags about clothes or materialistic things. I thrive to reach a level of success where I can help out the community even more with charity events and free shows. 2026 marks year 14 for me, the CEO of this growing company and artist ‘ZiggyDaArtist’ within the company. I’m very determined to not only reach new heights within my career but change the world along the way in the most positive way I can. I run this studio out of my home in Hampton Georgia not far from Atlanta. I love every second of it even when I’m ripping my hair out because of financial stress but truly I know my music and art, my artists and their music and art, and the projects we have in store for the future will change the world and entertainment forever.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s definitely been a huge struggle throughout my 14 years in this industry and sometimes still is. From finance to toxic people in the entertainment world. I had to cut off a lot of those toxic people in my life like friends and family members because they weren’t supportive because it’s not a “traditional job”or judged me too hard for my lifestyle choices with being non binary or using herbal remedies for my illnesses. It never deters me from my goals and ambitions though and it never will.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in the creative process of entertainment as a whole but specifically audio/music. We’re excited to move forward into film within the next couple of years. I’m most proud of the fact that just existing I standout because I am a non-binary artist from the south who’s cultivated their own sound, image, and wave with their own company. The sound being psychedelic alternative cloudrap and one if not the very first artist to do it. Not to mention surpassing 74k streams with my music and 344k streams with my main artists music part of the label.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I’m absolutely a risk taker. From starting and opening up a business (not just any one in entertainment and music) to being a non-binary artist who gets perceived as male who wears makeup. Also my messages of peace and positivity puts an even greater target on me due to this industry being money and power hungry and the glorified toxic lifestyle in music I’m currently trying to change. I take risks going to clubs because I stand out so much not just with my sound and image but the way I carry myself into the world wanting to bring change.
