Today we’d like to introduce you to Jada Boyd.
Hi Jada, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m DJ Jada Byrd. I’m also known as the “Trillest Female DJ In Action” I’m 22 years old. Born and raised on the east side of Atlanta, GA. I been DJing since I was 12 years old. I got over ten years of experience. I learned how to DJ from my father (DJ MAN Z KING) I started off spinning on technic 1200 turntables. I can DJ with no laptop or software. I really have an ear for music. I’m no regular DJ. I can mix, remix, scratch and beat juggle. I did at some of the hottest clubs in Atlanta and work with some of the dopest promoters in the city. One of my goals is to get in the radio industry and then travel all over the world to be the greatest DJ.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
A challenge I’ve faced was battling between school and DJing. At such a young age I was DJing at clubs. Even when I wasn’t old enough to be in clubs. I was so good at what I did that they didn’t even care about my age. They look beyond that and focused on my talent. They saw what I brought to the table, which is a nice and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone to enjoy themselves. Sometimes I used to DJ late weekday nights and a few hours later I had to be back in school. I was very tired but that didn’t discourage me. I made it happen. I stayed focused. I’m a high school graduate. Class of 2017!!! I convinced myself that “nothing worth having comes easy.”
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I provide DJ services to everyone regardless of age, race, or culture. I’m a very versatile DJ. I can play every such as Hiphop, R&B, Pop, Reggae, House, Country, Etc. You name it I got it. What set me aside from other DJs is that I can actually DJ without a laptop or software. I learned the old school way.
