Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Bain.
Hi Ashley, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Annie By Nature was curated after years of using so many accessible products that contain chemicals that I was just not very fond of. Being that I grew up in a household where almost everything natural was the more favorable option, I decided that going forward, I would revert back to my childhood days and create my own natural products for myself. After doing so, I started giving samples to friends and family members and from that point on, more and more people wanted my products and were willing to pay. So, from that moment, I decided to start my small business to not only obtain the natural benefits for myself but to reach as many people as I can and have them reap the benefits of my natural products as well.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Yes, I would consider this journey so far to be an easy one. Outside of the minor challenges that I face as a small business owner, having a supportive family, friends and god in my life makes everything easier.
As you know, we’re big fans of Annie By Nature. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My work consists of creating and researching natural products and ingredients for your body and skin. While many of my products are generally soaps, body butters, and toners, no matter what product I release, I strive to take and specialize in a more holistic approach. The key thing that sets me apart from others is that, while many of my products are standard, they are also highly customizable and can be tailored to any specific individual upon request. Furthermore, all of my products are not deemed appropriate for a specific part of your body, they can be used for your entire body. Therefore, I would say that I’m most known for my body butters because it contains one of the most essential ingredients, kokum butter, which is not just beneficial for any certain area, but for your whole body in so many ways. Also, I have been told that it is my number 1 product amongst pregnant women. The one thing that I am most proud of is the continuing growth and knowledge that I have obtained from being in this particular field. For me, understanding the body and skin is one of the most important things anyone can do. Therefore, I am proud that I can be one of the many individuals to bridge this particular gap in society.
How do you define success?
We’re all different, so success can mean different things for us all. For me, success means accomplishing your goals, no matter how big or small they are. Therefore, for me, it would consist of reaching as many people that may or may not have the same view as I do when it pertains to natural skincare. I feel like happiness has a lot to do with your success as well. There are many who succeed, however, is success without happiness really considered success anymore?
