Hi Jessica, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a Nurse Practitioner by trade. I primarily work in long-term care and hospice. That experience, coupled with personal loss within my own family, has helped me to realize the value of celebrating all of life’s milestones. I originally started with oversized stork displays to help people welcome home new babies. I quickly came to realize, however, that there are numerous milestones across the lifespan that deserve attention. The business has since expanded to include displays for graduations, birthdays, business events, holidays, and more. Helping each client celebrate what is important to them in a unique and meaningful way is a great honor!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Overall the road has had both ups and downs. As a new business owner with a background in a completely unrelated field, there has absolutely been a learning curve. Learning marketing strategies, the legal requirements of running a business, etc. have all required effort to learn and I am still learning as I go. Any good business owner, I think, is always learning ways to improve things for the benefit of their clients. While it has taken a lot of effort to get started, this first year in business has been a success overall and I am grateful for the experience.
