Hi Leandra, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I created Kingdom Lifestyle Planner while I was living in Richmond, Virginia. Becoming a business owner has always been on my heart and I had a plethora of ideas with what I wanted to do. While in VA, I researched how to start a lounge/bar, but in the back of my head, I was thinking, “Is this really how God wants me to utilize my talents to be a blessing to others?” I started to brainstorm ways in which I could utilize my talents to bless those around me and myself in the process.
I’ve grown to learn that I am my best self when I am focused on my relationship with God, so I decided to continue to grow that relationship through my business. Reading scriptures, journaling, and staying consistent in my daily planner helped to keep myself accountable! At that moment, God spoke to me, and I knew what I needed to create to help myself and others grow their relationship with God and become their best self.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There were some doubts during the creation of the planner, especially from other people, but I knew that God wanted me to do this, so I needed to be obedient. I had to remind myself daily that the Kingdom Lifestyle Planner was not just for me, but it was a necessity to help impact thousands of lives in a positive way.

The Kingdom Lifestyle Planner was created to provide spiritual growth and navigation through our daily lives. This planner can be used as a daily devotional, a goal tracker, and even a prayer guide to help glorify the King. One short verse can provide us wisdom, peace, joy, and purpose.
My unwavering commitment to self-care is one thing that sets me apart from others. I strive to become a better person for myself in every aspect, and being a better person meant understanding my shortcomings such as recognizing my distractions, areas I lack in, and areas where I need constant guidance. The daily commitment of finding out who I truly am and who God has called me is my biggest victory. The Kingdom Lifestyle Planner is a brand to help me and others to commit to that goal.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice for anyone wanting to start a business is just do it! Yes, it is going to be scary, but God gave you the vision for a reason. I would challenge anyone wanting to start their own business to stop and think about all of the people you would bless with your gift. God blesses us to be a blessing to others; allow yourself to hear God and write down a detailed plan for your business. Never let fear get in the way with what God has called you to do!
