Today we’d like to introduce you to Mesha Berry.
Hi Mesha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am originally from Newport News, Virginia, I moved to Georgia four years ago March 2017. I had never been to Georgia before and I didn’t have any family or friends here when I first moved here by myself. I was determined to get settled here and find my way because the plan was to always start my business. I have always had a passion for Interior Decorating and Event Planning since a little girl. I have always been the friend that plans all the events for different occasions and I have also decorated friends and family homes. I did not start my business right away when moving to Georgia because I have a cooperate job as well and I am currently in school for Business Administration at Wesleyan College. Once I truly got settled into things, I was able to start my business September 2020 Picnic Perfections. I never imagined the launch of my business would be during a pandemic. But I will say it gave me all the time I needed to really focus and put action into my goals I made for myself. I never even imagined to have a picnic business! The picnic idea came up because they had been popping up all over in different states and I thought this is something I definitely could do. I thought the picnic idea made perfect sense at the time because it’s a perfect COVID date and we are all limited in what we can do right now. I also thought that launching this picnic business would also be a great way to showcase what I can do so I can start booking bigger events.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Honestly, so far I would say it has been a smooth road for the most part. It actually surprises me everyday that in just a short time, my business has been doing so good and getting a lot of attention very fast. Of course, I had to figure out my policies and procedures and how the overall business would flow. I am still learning and tweaking as I go, but overall it has not been a hard process at all. I am a very organized person, so before I even launched my business I set goals and targets on what I needed done and how I needed to make those things happen. I am happy to say I have been hitting and exceeding all my goals and targets.

Picnic Perfections & Co is a Luxury Picnic Business and we also plan bigger events and provide home design as well. With Picnic Perfections, your next occasion will be one to remember. We use creativity with Interior Design and Event Planning to make your special day turn out exactly how you want it. Whether you’re planning an Anniversary, Birthday, or Just Because, We will make sure every detail is taken care of! We have different theme picnics such as (Boho, Girly Chic, Romantic, & more) and we also have different picnic packages to choose from. We service areas from Atlanta, Stone Mountain, McDonough, Macon, and Warner Robins. Our setups are located in parks such as (Piedmont Park, Stone Mountain Park, Big Springs Park, Amerson River Park, & more), and we setup in residences, hotels and Airbnb. We also partner with other small businesses to provide picnic add-ons that include (roses, catering, private chef, sweet treats, & photography).
What are your plans for the future?
I have so much in store for the future with Picnic Perfections as well as branching off into a bigger event business in the next year or two. I do not want to give away too many upcoming releases but what I will say is there will be more picnic packages added, as well as more partnerships coming for sure!
