Becoming Her: A Journey Beyond the Noise

I was living what looked like an ordinary life in Atlanta—but inside, nothing felt ordinary. I was experiencing things I couldn’t explain, sensing shifts that others dismissed. When I spoke up about what I felt, I was told I was “too emotional,” “too much,” or simply wrong. Over time, that constant dismissal turned into something deeper gaslighting that made me question my own reality.

But I knew the truth: something wasn’t right.

While I was expected to show up for everyone else, my own voice was being silenced. Eventually, I reached a breaking point. I pulled away—not out of isolation, but out of necessity. I chose myself. Therapy became a checkpoint, not a crutch it confirmed what I already knew. I wasn’t broken. I was awakening.

In 2022, everything shifted. After the chaos of 2020, I lost my job, and soon after, the life I had built began to unravel. The people I trusted most attempted to take what I had worked for. So I made a decision that would change everything: I sold my home, took my dog Bella, and left.

I landed in Costa Rica—a place where I knew no one but myself.

What followed wasn’t escape it was initiation.

I formed connections, only to realize they, too, were misaligned. That’s when I turned inward and asked the hardest question of all: What is really going on with you? At times, I wondered if I was losing myself. But what I discovered was far deeper I was in the midst of a profound spiritual awakening, one that felt like both transformation and warfare.

I faced parts of myself most people avoid. I stood alone, in a foreign land, with nothing but my faith anchoring me. And I survived.

Through that journey, I realized something powerful: there are seasons God will walk you through that won’t make sense to anyone else. They will stretch you, refine you, and reveal a strength and wisdom you didn’t know you carried.

Today, I help others navigate that same awakening. Because the truth is many people feel lost, but don’t have the language or guidance to understand why. Some systems and spaces are designed to keep people searching, circling, never fully arriving.

But there is another way.

I’ve taken what I’ve learned the clarity, the revelations, the truth and poured it into books and workbooks designed for those who feel alone in their journey. For those who know there’s more, even if they can’t yet explain it.

There is light at the end of the tunnel.

And sometimes, finding God deeply means standing apart from the world entirely (John 15:18–25). Not as punishment but as purpose.

Because in losing everything you thought you were, you finally meet who you were always meant to become.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Rebuilt in the Fire: Faith, Identity, and the Unseen Battle

When I moved to a place where I knew no one, I didn’t have a backup plan. It was sink or swim—and I understood the risk. There were moments I knew I might not make it back the same… or at all.

So I began again.

I restructured both of my brands from the ground up. When everyone else walked away, all I had left was my faith, myself, and my dog, Bella. And some nights, that didn’t feel like enough. There were nights I cried until my eyes were swollen—grieving, processing, breaking open in ways I didn’t understand.

Because deep down, I knew I was searching for something I couldn’t fully remember.

It felt like I was moving through life with amnesia disconnected from who I truly was. But even in that, I held onto two things: faith in myself not to quit, and faith that God would never leave me (Hebrews 13:5).

My heart felt shattered like it had been broken into a million pieces with no clear way to put it back together.

And that’s when everything shifted.

God whispered: “I am the Potter. Let Me shine through the cracks of your soul.”

I was raised as a preacher’s kid, but I had to walk away from everything familiar to discover who I was always meant to be. Not who I was taught to be but who I came here to become.

Through that journey, I studied, I searched, and I found language for what I was experiencing. Tools like Human Design helped me understand my blueprint but more importantly, I uncovered my spiritual assignment.

And with that clarity came awareness:

We are in a spiritual war and most people don’t even realize it.

Many are living in cycles, not because they want to but because the systems and voices they trust are designed to keep them there. It’s the same truth echoed in scripture those who won’t enter in, often stand in the way of those who are trying.

Transformation costs you something whether you choose to stay the same or evolve.

I chose evolution.

And my body feels it. I train daily not just physically, but spiritually to stay aligned, to stay clear, and to withstand what can’t always be seen. Because the battle isn’t always external. It’s in the mind, in belief systems, in the patterns that have been normalized over time.

Scripture speaks to this plainly there are forces we wrestle with that go beyond the visible (II Corinthians 10, Ephesians 6). And once you become aware, you begin to see it everywhere in thought patterns, in environments, in what society accepts as “normal.”

Awareness changes everything.

And once you see it you can’t unsee it.

I’ve learned not everyone who speaks truth is aligned with it. And not everyone who carries the name carries the essence. Discernment becomes your greatest protection.

So now, I share what I’ve lived. Not to convince but to offer clarity to those who are ready to see.

Because that’s all any of us can do.

Speak truth.
Live it.
