Hidden Gems: Meet Adrienne Sienkowski of IMAGE Studios Alpharetta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrienne Sienkowski.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Entrepreneurship is in my DNA. My great-grandfather opened a small community grocery store during the Great Depression in Hartsville, South Carolina. My grandfather built a USDA-approved meat processing plant and organic farm during the height of the Civil Rights era. His company, Lynn’s Meats, went on to become one of the first 8(a) certified businesses in South Carolina. My father, Dr. Louis B. Lynn, a former R&D executive at Monsanto, continued that legacy by founding the largest minority-owned commercial landscape and construction company in South Carolina.
With that lineage behind me, the pull toward entrepreneurship was always there, even through years in the corporate world. During the pandemic, my husband and I explored several businesses and franchise opportunities. IMAGE Studios® stood out immediately. It was a young, disruptive franchise with a high-end, luxury aesthetic for salon suites that I believed would deeply resonate with professionals in the beauty industry. It also gave me the opportunity to combine two things I’m most passionate about: small business and beauty.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Smooth? Not always, but that’s the nature of small business, and honestly, it’s something I understood going in. After working in my father’s business, I came to believe that small businesses are truly the heartbeat of this country. There is passion, blood, sweat, and tears behind every venture, and I have enormous respect for anyone who takes that leap. It is not for the faint of heart. People tend to focus on the end game: the success, the payoff, but there is so much that lives in the middle: sleepless nights, uncertainty, fear. Knowing that going in didn’t make it easier, but it did make it purposeful.

One of our biggest challenges was launching in a market where IMAGE Studios® didn’t yet have brand recognition. Unlike more established salon suite concepts, we were introducing something new, and we had to earn trust, not just as a business, but as partners. Many of the professionals we were attracting were themselves taking a leap into entrepreneurship for the first time. We felt a real responsibility to be a steady hand for them. We wanted them to believe in themselves and know that they could do this.

That’s really at the core of what we do. Whether we are someone’s Chapter 1, the place where they launch, build their confidence, and eventually go on to open their own salon, or simply the place where an established professional wanted a fresh start and a new look for their business, we wanted to be that trusted, go-to home for them. That sense of purpose is what carried us through the harder days.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
IMAGE Studios® Alpharetta holds a special distinction: we are the first IMAGE Studios® location in Georgia. We’re incredibly proud to be the pioneers who built this brand here, and that responsibility has never been lost on us. Over nearly 18 months, from opening our doors to establishing our presence in the market, we were intentional about approaching this community and the professionals within it with integrity, knowing we were laying the foundation for others to follow. That kind of groundwork is something we wear as a badge of honor.

As small business owners, we are deeply committed to giving our MAGE Pros the ability to work independently while thriving within a supportive community. But beyond the beautiful spaces and the freedom we provide, what I am most proud of are our IMAGE Love Events. Moments where we express appreciation to the professionals who have entrusted their businesses to us. We’ve hosted dinners, surprised them with fondue for Valentine’s Day, and taken over Dave & Busters for summer play-days. Being an entrepreneur is challenging enough. Our job is to make sure they never feel like they’re doing it alone.

How do you think about luck?
I’ve always believed that the harder I work, the luckier I seem to get. I don’t lean heavily on luck as a concept. I lean on preparation, intention, and showing up consistently. That said, I do feel incredibly fortunate. Fortunate to come from a family that modeled entrepreneurship with integrity and excellence. Fortunate to have found IMAGE Studios® at a moment when we were ready to build something meaningful. And fortunate that the professionals who took a chance on us in those early days chose to trust us when we were still proving ourselves in this market.

If that’s luck, I’ll take it, but I know there was a lot of work behind every bit of it.
