Hi Ashley, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Mauloa Skincare was founded in 2021, born from a lifelong passion of beauty and self-care. From a young age I was drawn to the beauty, makeup, and skincare world-whether it was playing with makeup, hosting spa days for my dolls, or tagging a long with my mom to Mary Kay parties. I was always immersed in the joy of helping others feel beautiful and confident. My motto at Mauloa Skincare is “Love all you see, including yourself”.

Mauloa which means “Forever” in Hawaiian, represents my beliefs in forever beauty and lasting impact with natural ingredients for your skin. Every product is created with aloha, different skin concerns, and my culture.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey hasn’t always been smooth. After completing esthetician school and proudly graduating, I faced an unexpected setback-I lost my job just a month later. It was a tough blow, especially when I had plans to invest in my dreams and grow Mauloa Skincare right away. Still I refused to give up and knew God had other plans for me at the time. I hold off on my brand in 2022 and started back up in 2025. Even though my brand is not where I want it to be I know my heart, faith, and God purpose is.

As a proud native Hawaiian our facial soaps are designed and inspired by the healing power of our land oils addressing a wide range of skincare concerns- whether you’re looking to lighten dark spots, brighten your complexion, gently cleanse, or softly exfoliate there’s something for you here.

More than just a skincare Mauloa is the celebration of culture, connection, and natural beauty. I’m expanding my line to include toners, serums, and moisturizers. What sets me apart? It’s our root, it’s our story, and it’s the mana in every facial soap. Mauloa Skincare offers facial soaps for all skin concerns and to be apart of my Glow Getter family.

Self-motivation, Resilience, Continuous learning, Confidence, and Discipline.
