Hidden Gems: Meet Breana Newell of New 2 You Marketing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Breana Newell.

Hi Breana, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Born in St. Louis, I migrated to Atlanta at a very young age. I decided to take up the art of becoming a branding consultant in a bustling Georgia suburb called Dunwoody. Most people were drawn to my aura since I find myself to be an extrovert. I always get the assumptions of having everything together or being a “boss lady.” But to no avail, people often failed to realize the obstacles I had to face and the dismay that I have overcome to be able to stand here today with my head held high in triumph. My innate passions are music and marketing. Whether it’s picking up a notebook to make sure my words flow on every page or orchestrating a colorful and lively press release on MailChimp, I’m always busy creating! Growing up, you could typically find me on a football field during the half-time show, alongside the Marching Wildcat Band, with my clarinet in hand, or on a gym floor, repeating two-minute routines at 6 am on Saturdays for a competitive cheer squad called Southern Magic All-Stars. I was always doing something!

Gifted with my first ‘real job’ at age 16, as a Receptionist for a Hospice company that my mother worked for, I constantly interacted with people, which I grew fond of. That’s a job I will always hold near and dear to my heart. I gained concrete knowledge on a new side to healthcare, one of the most compassionate and dedicated ones in fact. My mother, Saundra Newell, who is my role model, took me under her wing at that company, and I gradually progressed to Medical Records Assistant.

In 2007, before I graduated high school, my mother started our family-owned business, A1 Nurse Care. From the ground up, she founded an operation of in-home nurses and caregivers that took care of patients with the utmost compassion and respect. It was then that I found a passion for business and economics. But it wasn’t until my junior year of college, did I make a major change in my career and turn to marketing. I pride myself on being a graduate of Georgia Southern University. GSU taught me independence, vulnerability, and most importantly, perseverance.

After college, I began my career at TMX Finance. From there, I gained skills in management, communication, marketing, HR, and the ability to work under pressure. Being out in the community every day during our marketing campaigns aligned me with what I am doing full-time now.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I am co-parenting a beautiful three-year-old girl who is a mini-me. She says she wants her own office and computer. “Just like Mommy!”

I work hands-on in the healthcare community for A1 Nurse Care, advocating those in need of support with their loved ones during activities of daily living. Juggling my toddler, personal life and relationships, and work-life can be quite the challenge. I turn to mediation and exercise when I feel overwhelmed, which keeps me mentally stable, aware, and ready to take on new clients.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about New 2 You Marketing?
I am the CEO and Founder of New 2 You Marketing, LLC, a branding agency fit to build solid platforms for start-up companies and small businesses. The clients that I work with are relieved to know someone can come in and take over their social media content, logo design, web design, and marketing all in one stop. I’m proud of everything I have to offer and the experiences that have shaped and molded me into the lady I am today.

My list of services includes but are not limited to; logo design, web design, digital content creation, and marketing consulting. I work one-on-one with each of my clients and they find my New 2 You Client Questionnaire to be extremely helpful. It allows me to ask those specific questions that each business owner should know, and if they aren’t sure, we find the best answer or solution together. Business Owners can book a consultation with me at www.newtoyouatl.com or you can always email me at breana@newtoyouatl.com.

What’s next?
I treat every day as if it is a new opportunity to make a connection, build my empire, and be a better Mom than I was yesterday. As the saying goes, one day at a time. In the near future, New 2 You Marketing is looking to lease a commercial space near Tucker, GA, where we would create a multi-use unit for event rentals, fitness training, seminars and workshops for business owners, and a co-working office space.

In addition to giving back to my community, I’d like to start a foundation for Women in Business, for women of all ages, who can benefit from guidance given by professionals in their industry. Each member of this foundation would receive a Life Coach, help to execute their Start-Up Business Plan, and endless Networking Opportunities.
