Hi Celina, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am originally from Akron Ohio and I have been living in the Atlanta area for over 12 years. I moved to Atlanta to pursue my dream in the funeral home industry, that didn’t work out as planned. Once I learned about aesthetics in the beauty industry I immediately became interested and it turned into a passion of mine.
I was working at a local waxing salon and out of nowhere, I was fired so within three days of being fired, I found a suite so that I can do start my own business I was extremely nervous being that it was in the middle of a pandemic I had no idea if my business would even survive that season but now that I think back on it the pandemic help my business flourish.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
At the beginning, it was very difficult because I was starting my business from scratch with no clients no marketing strategy, I had absolutely no idea where to start so it definitely was a few bumps in the road. I remember sitting in my suite With no clients and one of the barbers who work next door came in and sat down and help me with my marketing strategy from start to finish I promise that man changes my life shortly after my business skyrocketed from following his marketing technique.
We’ve been impressed with Wax Me Pretty, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a licensed aesthetician and have been in business for almost two years and I specialize in full body waxing, vagacial treatments and non-invasive body sculpting. I am known for my fast and efficient waxing technique. I can complete a full-body wax in 30 min. My vagacial treatments help clients who suffer from ingrown and hyperpigmentation. I use the best product on the market, which is a Vegan wax and it is great for all skin types, especially sensitive skin.
My business name Wax Me Pretty, strives to make all women feel beautiful and confident in their skin. I want all my clients to remember my business as a one-stop-shop from your esthetician to their personal therapist.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Being focused and determined are important characteristics because every day, you’re not going to feel like being motivated, but you have to be willing to be your own cheerleader. I know exactly how I want my life to be in the future, and I absolutely won’t stop until the goal is met. Even then, I’ll still strive for something greater.
