Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Tigner.
Hi Christopher, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a mobile repair technician from a small town located in Georgia called Hogansville. I repair all kinds of mobile electronic devices such as Apple iPhones, iPads, Samsung devices, Motorola, LG and much more. I worked for companies like Verizon Wireless back in 2008 where I discovered a passion for technology and electronics. After leaving Verizon, I worked with multiple Fortune 5 warehouse companies only to find myself back working in a field that I would consider as my first love. 2019 I took a step out on faith and left my career as a department manager to start my very own brand as a repair technician. With limited resources, I used the knowledge obtained while working for Verizon Wireless and applied it to my business and soon after my brand now called Cprtech, LLC took flight and it’s been one amazing journey. I started doing repairs from my home in LaGrange Ga where I worked full-time as a repair technician and soon after I got my very first office space located inside my home town Hogansville GA where I now reside.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve had several obstacles since I started this journey. Building a customer base from scratch was one of the toughest obstacles considering the fact that I was new in this field, plus I was surrounded by repair shops that was already established with storefronts. I would go days and sometimes weeks before I would get a request from a customer but I never gave up. Instead, I used that downtime to study the business more and learn from competitors. Financially it was a struggle from at the start because I had limited resources like inventory, tools and also no transportation to provide curbside service which is what 30-40% of my clients requested at the time and that’s where the money management came into part. I struggled for a while with managing the money I made until I took the time to use the knowledge gained from a financial advisor within my family.
We’ve been impressed with Cprtech, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Here at Cprtech, LLC my main objective is keeping you connected to your favorite mobile devices in which keeps us all in contact with those we love and the outside world. I specialize in consumer electronics repairs such as phones, tablets, game systems and computers. I’m known for providing excellent customer service which is something I learned while working for other electronics stores like AT&T and Verizon Wireless and that’s one of the key factors that separates me from the competitors. I believe in going above and beyond for all my customers while providing the best quality repair parts, faster service, and more affordable prices.
How do you think about luck?
I would say that luck hasn’t played much of a part in my life or business. Reason for that is because I feel like my luck is the result of hard work, patience, and persistence. I believe that if you put in the work, acquire the skills, continue growing, and learn every day and you won’t have to rely on anything or anyone because it will happen for you.
