Today we’d like to introduce you to Desmond Nkwenya.
Hi Desmond, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born in Cameroon West Africa family of six. I did music back home as a kid and knew I had a passion and ear for music. I dabbled in production, recording myself and writing for others. I moved to the New York in 2009, studied nursing graduated as an Registered Nurse but I had no passion for it. Moved down to Atlanta, where I went back to what I was passionate about and gave me purpose. Back home, when did music, my friends called me “Danyvails” which was the artist name I went by only made sense to start my company, “Danyvails Entertainment” after it.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a journey fill with impediments but through it all, I have loved every moment as I learn valuable lessons rising above and build tenacity for the business to thrive as every goal can only be archived with the right mindset. My family wasn’t supportive at first as African most parent want their kids to be either doctors or lawyers but slowly, they all came around. I’ve made sacrifices to point of being homeless just to keep the business running but I never gave up on the vison nor loose my passion.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Danyvails Entertainment?
Danyvails Entertainment operates as an independent record label. We offer industry-standard audiovisual services. Our audio recording studio (Danyvails Studio) is a multi-studio facility located at 3560 Brookhaven, GA and offers affordable rates with industry-standard recording, mixing, and mastering services. We also do other forms of commercial recordings, including podcasts, sermons, commercials, jingles etc. Our Video production and photoshoots is done at our 5000sqft facility located in Stone Mountain. There we handle video production, ranging from music videos, short films, podcasts to TV Shows. The facility is equipped with green and white Cyc walls and an open lot space for all sort of creatives. We also offer artists management services alongside business and legal consultation. We also have a diverse lists of artists signed to our label. Apart from these services, we are reputted for putting together the best shows like Burna Boy, Kiss Daniel, and Fally Ipupa shows. We are most proud to give opportunity to young creatives to showcase their talents. We are equipped to handle your project from beginning to end. We have top-notch trained engineers, backup singers, videographers, so if your music is lacking that extra edge, you might want to give us that call.
What are your plans for the future?
We plan to keep to keep building around the structures we have set up. In five years, we will be one of the global entertainment powerhouses. Seeing how the pandemic affected everything, we know we have to be prepared for changes, both planned and unplanned. With the structure we have in place, I am confident that we will be able to keep up with the ever-changing entertainment market.
