Hidden Gems: Meet Dr. Mannie Lowery of Beyond Life Chiropractic and Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Mannie Lowery.

Hi Dr. Mannie , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been an athlete most of my life, and sports shaped everything about who I am. With my mother working in the medical field, I always knew I wanted to help people; I just didn’t know in what way. After experiencing my first injury in high school and going through physical therapy to get back on the field, something clicked. I realized I wanted to be the person who helps people recover and feel like themselves again.

When I went on to play football at Mississippi State, I was introduced to chiropractic care for the first time. That first adjustment was life changing. I had never even heard of chiropractic before then, but the moment I got off that table I knew this was my calling. From that point on, I immersed myself in learning about the body, healing, and performance. I was the guy who stayed in the training room before and after practice, not because I was hurt, but because I loved observing, asking questions, and preparing myself for a career centered around helping people.

After graduating, everything aligned when I found Life University in Marietta, the top chiropractic school in the world and only an hour from home. That is where my journey officially began.

I went through school, trained under some great doctors, and eventually started working in high volume personal injury practices around Atlanta. Those experiences showed me the good and the bad sides of the industry, but most importantly they made it clear that patients deserved a higher level of care, communication, and transparency.

I always knew I wanted to build something of my own, something built on relationships, trust, results, and a luxury patient experience. After years of preparing, I made the leap and opened Beyond Life Chiropractic and Wellness in the Smyrna and Vinings area. I launched with no staff, just a vision and a mission to deliver high quality, evidence based chiropractic care that feels personal, educational, and empowering. From personal injury and athletes to everyday parents and professionals, I wanted people to come in and feel seen, heard, and cared for.

It hasn’t been easy, balancing entrepreneurship, marriage, financial responsibilities, and building my name from the ground up, but it has been incredibly rewarding. Every day I get to help people move better, function better, and feel better, and that is what keeps me motivated. I am still growing, still learning, and still expanding my business, but I am proud of how far it has come. And I am excited for where Beyond Life Chiropractic is headed next.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped me into the doctor and business owner I am becoming. Starting a practice from the ground up, especially while still establishing myself in the community, came with a lot of pressure. There were days where the responsibilities felt heavy, days where the finances didn’t line up the way I hoped, and days where I had to learn things quickly and make adjustments on the fly. Balancing the demands of entrepreneurship with being a husband and managing life outside of work has been a real test of discipline and consistency.

Another challenge has been navigating the personal injury world as a newer chiropractor. You have to earn the trust of attorneys and patients, understand the systems, and stay sharp with communication and documentation. That takes time and a lot of intentional effort. There were moments where I felt overlooked or underestimated, but instead of letting that discourage me, I used it as motivation to improve, refine my processes, and keep showing up.

I’ve also experienced those quiet moments where my schedule wasn’t as booked as I hoped, and I had to keep promoting, networking, building relationships, and believing in the vision even when the results weren’t immediate. Those moments taught me resilience. They taught me how to operate a business, how to communicate better, how to manage finances, and how to grow through discomfort.

Even with the challenges, I wouldn’t change the journey. The struggles have made me sharper, more grounded, and more confident in where I’m headed. Every step is preparing me for the growth that is coming next.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Beyond Life Chiropractic and Wellness is a practice built on intention, transparency, and a high quality patient experience. I focus on personal injury, wellness care, and athletes who want to move better, feel better, and function at their best. What I am known for is giving patients real one on one attention, being thorough in my assessments, and explaining the body in a way people can actually understand.

My goal is to create an environment where every patient feels seen, heard, and cared for from the moment they walk in. Whether someone is recovering from a car accident, dealing with chronic pain, or simply trying to prioritize their health, I make sure they leave feeling better and more educated about what is going on in their body. I combine chiropractic adjustments with soft tissue work, extremity care, exercises, and personalized treatment plans to give people a complete approach to healing.

What sets my brand apart is the level of detail, communication, and consistency I provide. In personal injury especially, accurate documentation and clear communication with attorneys and insurance companies is essential, and I take pride in handling each case with professionalism and care. On the wellness side, I focus on performance, posture, and long term health so that people can truly live a healthier lifestyle.

Brand wise, I am most proud of the experience I have created. Beyond Life Chiropractic is more than an office. It is a place where people feel comfortable, valued, and motivated to take control of their health. I want readers to know that my practice was built with passion and a genuine commitment to helping people heal. At Beyond Life Chiropractic and Wellness, you are not just getting adjusted. You are learning, improving, and taking real steps toward a better version of yourself.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Having a mentor is extremely valuable, and my best advice is to stay teachable and surround yourself with people who are doing what you want to do. Seek out individuals who inspire you, ask questions, and be willing to learn from their experiences. The right mentor will challenge you, support you, and help you grow both personally and professionally.

Networking has also played a major role in my journey. What has worked well for me is showing up consistently, introducing myself to people, and building genuine relationships. If you want to be seen, you have to put yourself out there as much as possible. You want to become that go to person, and the only way to do that is by being present, being consistent, and staying visible in your community.
