Hannah, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
So, I started my business on 07/17/2020 when I was 12. I’m currently 13. I started my business because I’ve always disliked beauty supply lip gloss and how when I’m talking, a white rim would form on my lips so, I started researching ways to make my own lip gloss and as soon as I created the perfect recipe, I’ve never gone back to beauty supply lip gloss. Lip gloss is something I never leave the house with, it’s like a necessity in my everyday routine. I’ve gotten to where I am today by non-stop work and dedication, I take my business very seriously and I take pride in my work

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In my business, there has been a few bumps in the road but overall, it’s been extremely fun! Some struggles I have faced in my business are “no order days”, but when I have those kinds of days, it just pushes me to create more content and advertise more!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business overall just brings me so much joy! When I become much older, I’ll definitely want to build up my own store and have a physical location in 2+ states. My business is known for lip cosmetics such as lip gloss and lip exfoliators (aka lip scrub). The thing that sets me apart from others is the different combinations I come up with for my lip gloss and the different varieties I have to offer!

Some of the biggest accomplishments of my business are: hitting 100+ orders, micro-blowing up on TikTok + Instagram, and being an influence to other small businesses. Something I want the readers to know is that if you want to start a business, go for it. It’ll definitely be a life-changer. Follow your passion. Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I recommend listening to gospel music because that always helps me do my best at work. I just love how gospel music keeps me motivated and helps me know that without God, my business wouldn’t be where it is today. Another thing that helps me become motivated is my goals. I always just think to myself of how close I am to accomplishing my goals at such a young age.
