Today we’d like to introduce you to Janiece Sutherland.

Hi Janiece, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m an entrepreneur and founder of Finch.Shop For as long as I can remember, I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur in the fashion industry. I got my first sewing machine when I was 11 years old, and that’s where the passion started. I went to college and earned a degree in Marketing Management and mirrored in social media marketing to further my knowledge. In 2020 I started my online boutique Finch.Shop The name Finch was inspired by one of my favorite birds, which embodies our values and characteristics: joy, appreciation, high energy, positivity, optimism, and simplicity. Finch is a modern boutique for every woman. We want women from all backgrounds, shapes, and sizes to feel loved, inspired, and empowered through our pieces. We sell encouraging tees and fun casual wear.

Like our clothing, our message is simple: all women are beautiful. We will always speak up for the equality and inclusivity of all women.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There’s so much joy and excitement when starting a business! But to any passion or dream, you’re trying to achieve, the road isn’t always smooth. Some of my obstacles were doubts and fear of failure in my mind. What helped me to overcome my obstacles was my faith! On days when I feel worn out and want to give up, I lean on Jesus. I encourage myself and keep ongoing. I’m learning new things daily sometimes; it’s hard to keep up! But in those moments, I take a step back and remember why I started this, and that’s what keeps me going!

As you know, we’re big fans of Finch.Shop. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I’m very involved with the creation of our inspirational tee shirts. I’m engaged in providing excellent customer service as well. I’m a very hands-on person, which sets me apart at Finch.Shop. Our best selling tees are our kindness is free t-shirts. We value treating others the way you would like to be treated. This is our way as a brand to promote positivity throughout our clothing.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
My qualities to my success are I’m an enthusiastic individual who loves to serve and help people! Very simple!
