Hidden Gems: Meet Jazmin the Great of Skin / Life of Gods

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazmin the Great.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
What I love about my story is how diverse my life has been throughout the years. I always hope it gives other people the inspiration to truly create whatever type of life they want despite their past or present. I grew up in very conservative city where most jobs and careers were geared toward military and government. I always knew I had a passion for beauty and fashion and that I would have to move to thrive and truly go after my dreams. Moving to Atlanta working in LA totally opened my eyes to what I could become and what I could accomplish. I started out as a makeup artist and eventually attended school for skincare. Helping clients achieve their skincare goals nurturing them through difficult skincare journeys compelled me to expand outside of just beauty and skincare but women empowerment as well.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have learned to embrace struggle and difficult journeys, it creates uniqueness, depth and strength. I attended school for skincare full time as a single mother all while working at my store as a make up artist. Although common that was an extremely difficult time. Choosing to open a medspa that specialized in helping people of color and offering vegan option products as services wasn’t a common or popular approach for medspas.

We’ve been impressed with Skin / Life of Gods, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My career, I would say is expansive, I’ve never put limitations on what I can do. In these last six years, I have created a luxury clothing brand Life of Gods, established a vegan option medspa in the city of Atlanta, created a quotable inspo journal, started a women’s empowerment tour, started a management firm with many more business ventures to come! I am most proud of helping and educating others not just in skin, but lifestyle, health, fashion and self-esteem. I think as a whole I’m known for being a young innovative entrepreneur. I specialize in combining beauty and health. A lot of things that we do as women to be beautiful isn’t always ways healthy and vice versa. I have made it my mission to teach to my community and others that both health and beauty actually go hand and hand.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My family and business partner have definitely played a huge role in my life. Genuine love and support from my family has definitely given me the motivation I needed to try things in my career that I never saw only dreamed.
