Today we’d like to introduce you to Lynda Price.
Lynda Cameron Price Ed. S, LPC, AADC, of Healing Transformations LLC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Alabama and Georgia. She is also registered and licensed to provide telehealth services across the state of Florida. Ms. Price serves as the Chief Executive Officer and owner of a private practice counseling agency in Birmingham, Alabama. She is certified as an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor through AADA/IC&RC. Ms. Price is also a published author who has written several articles for marriage.com. Further, Ms. Price serves as a motivational speaker for the community and is a respected client advocate. She uses various client-tailored approaches in therapy, including person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and rapid resolution theory. Ms. Price specializes in the clinical areas of depression, anxiety, difficult adjustment to life stress, substance use addiction, trauma, personality disorders as well as couples counseling. Healing Transformations opens their doors to any individual who is ready to venture on a personal journey towards self-awareness, self-healing, and self-growth. At Healing Transformations, licensed therapist and staff understand the importance of maintaining a healthy mental state, and living a stable and fulfilled life. Using a holistic approach to therapy, Healing Transformations focuses on treating the whole individual and not just the issue at hand. Ms. Price graduated from the University of Alabama of Birmingham for her undergraduate degree. Also she was trained in EMDR therapy as well. Ms. Price earned her Education Specialist (E.Ds.) degree from UWA. She was also awarded a Master of Science (M.S.) from the University of West Alabama. Ms. Price has worked at various medical and outpatient treatment centers and has served in various capacities which include a clinical director, clinical therapist social primary counselor, and social service caseworker. Ms. Price excels at developing innovative and comprehensive plans for each client’s treatment through strengths-based care. To sum up, Ms. Price challenges her clients to work toward healing and self-sufficiency. Ms. Price is also the proud mother of three sons. She hails from Pickens, County and is from Aliceville, Al. She started her educational journey from Aliceville High School in rural Alabama. She had very humble beginnings that fueled her motivation to be an advocate for those who may not be able to advocate for themselves. She is driven to change lives one encounter at a time.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There has been many challenges, obstacles and struggles along the way, one being client resistance. If a client does not feel that there is a real problem they will not do the work towards real change and healing. When there are instances where clients are ordered to attend therapy and are not coming on their own regard, they may be resistant to treatment. However, I am with them along this journey and patiently guide them towards acceptance and doing the work towards change and healing.
We’ve been impressed with Healing Transformations LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Healing Transformations offers Individual and Couples Counseling. Healing Transformations is located on 2214 3rd Ave N Birmingham, AL 35203 Suite 203 Birmingham, AL 35203. We are known for person centered and holistic care. Our practice is based on the belief that, “Our gift to you is inner peace, and the gift to yourself is freedom. The practice specializes in self-esteem issues, grief counseling, anxiety, emotional disturbances, PTSD, substance abuse counseling, and assessments targeting clients of all ages. In acknowledgment of COVID-19, the practice is following state mandated protocols and guidelines to ensure public safety at large.

I have been very blessed in life and business; I feel that I am purposed to do what I do and therefore the way has been made for me to succeed.
