Inspiring Conversations with Claudine Hicks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudine Hicks.

Hi Claudine, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
One of my favorite quotes by Madeline Albright says, “It took me a long time to develop a voice, and now that I have it, I am not going to be silent.”

The first time I saw this quote, it immediately spoke to me and I knew those words were part of my testimony.

As a teenager, I was very broken. I was bullied my entire first year of high school. I didn’t know my identity, had low self-esteem, and was very insecure. As you know, when you are insecure or don’t know your worth, you start looking for people or things to validate you, and that’s what I did. I was bullied almost every day, my first year of high school, and became a teenage mom at the age of 16. I didn’t see the purpose for my life.

What I’ve learned is that many times what we see as our biggest mistakes, failures, or disappointment are all part of our story, and that’s my story.

Those darks seasons in my life, as a teenager and as an adult, drew me closer to Jesus, in whom I found my identity.

I am now a wife, mother, MiMi, Certified Confidence Coach and the author of “Where Are The Mothers? Physical & Spiritual Daughters Are Waiting” and part of a book collaboration, “Fierce Women Roaring Into Purpose which is a # 1 Best Seller here in the US and in Canada.

I am the owner and CEO of Claudine Hicks Enterprises which includes my Confidence Coaching Program. My goal is to help women over 30 who struggle with self-worth and lack of confidence regain their confidence, reimagine their lives, and begin to see themselves the way Heaven sees them.

My purpose is to Encourage, Empower and assist these women along the way.

I’ve walked the walk of feeling unworthy and not good enough and know that the Lord has called me to help ladies get free in those areas and to be a voice and share my own testimony in the area of identity and confidence. I choose to use my voice wherever.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth journey. I believe that anything you are created to do on the earth will come with some resistance. Obstacles are going to come.

As I look back at my life and see the struggles that I encountered, it was almost always something to do with my identity and wanting to feel qualified.

There were times I would doubt that I was qualified to speak to young women about self-esteem and being secure in who they were. I have a most recent example, about a year ago I was asked to be a speaker, along with Doctors and Ministers, and Pastors. When I first saw the line-up, I immediately felt that I wasn’t qualified to stand with those great(In my eyes) women. There were days I considered writing the host and telling her some silly story of why I wouldn’t be able to accept her invitation to speak.

I wrestled with it for a while and finally had to remind myself who I was and that I had a purpose here on the earth.

Another thing that I believe keeps me going is knowing that there is at least one person on the earth that needs to hear my story so that they can believe again and know that there is hope.

And although I don’t always pass this test, I try to make sure I stay close to God and follow His leading so that I can finish the assignment given to me.

I am a Confidence Coach / Spiritual Midwife and an Empowerment Speaker.

I believe that everything we need to succeed in life we already possess. Sometimes it takes someone else, a Coach or Spiritual Midwife to assist in bringing about the result you are looking for.

The world doesn’t need a fake version of you, but it needs the real you, and that is where I come in.

My coaching program provides you with one-on-one or group four weeks sessions on first changing our mindset, killing negativity and applying healthy life strategies designed to unlock your fullest potential and to help you walk in your true authentic self.

As your coach, I will share with you practical life lessons and how to make few adjustments. Although each session may be different, they are all packed with a lifetime of Inspiration and Motivation, as I help you clarify the life you were created for and help you walk in your true authentic self.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
In the next 5-10 years, I see Claudine Hicks Enterprises with at least one transitional home for teen mothers, along with a school where I will implement my coaching program.

The name, business plan and vision for this transitional home are already in place. I’m just working out some kinks.
