Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Otero
Hi Maria, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Maria Otero, and I’m a proud mother of four, an entrepreneur, and a wellness professional with over 14 years of experience in the medical field. For the past 12 years, I’ve specialized in wellness coaching, body sculpting, and post-op care, helping thousands of women feel confident in their health journeys.
I own Prestige Consulting, where I help others succeed in their careers and personal growth. I am a known healer and being an able to help people with their wellness goals and personal goals is a great part of my journey.
On top of running my businesses and raising my family, I’m taking on a new challenge—returning to school to become a Physician Assistant. It won’t be easy, but I’m committed to making it happen.
My passion is helping people transform their lives, whether through health, education, or entrepreneurship, and I’m excited for what’s ahead!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. My journey has been full of challenges, but each one has shaped me into the woman I am today.
Balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship has been one of the biggest struggles. Raising four children while building multiple businesses and pursuing my passion for wellness hasn’t been easy. There were countless sleepless nights, moments of self-doubt, and times when I had to push through exhaustion just to keep everything running.
Financial struggles were another hurdle, especially in the early stages of my businesses. Investing in my vision while making sure my family was taken care of required sacrifice and smart decision-making. There were times I questioned if I was doing the right thing, but I refused to give up.
Stepping back into higher education to become a Physician Assistant is another challenge. After years of focusing on my career and family, the thought of returning to school was intimidating. But I know that growth requires stepping out of my comfort zone, and I’m determined to make it happen.
Despite the struggles, I wouldn’t change a thing. Every challenge has taught me resilience, discipline, and the power of believing in myself. I’ve learned that success isn’t about avoiding obstacles—it’s about facing them head-on and pushing forward no matter what.
We’ve been impressed with Prestige concierge and consulting , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I believe risk-taking is essential for growth, both personally and professionally. Without risk, there’s no real progress—only comfort and stagnation. I see risk as an opportunity rather than a gamble. While it comes with uncertainty, it also opens doors to new possibilities that wouldn’t exist otherwise.
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was stepping away from a stable career path to build my own business. Leaving behind security to pursue my passion for wellness coaching, body sculpting, and post-op care was a leap of faith. I had no guarantee of success, but I trusted my experience, my ability to help others, and my vision for what Prestige Consulting could become and more importantly GOD!
Another significant risk was expanding my services to include professional training. Teaching others how to succeed in this industry meant not only mastering my craft but also taking on the responsibility of shaping future professionals. It required investment, time, and confidence that people would trust me as an educator. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions I’ve made because it allowed me to empower others while growing my brand.
I don’t take risks blindly—I believe in calculated risks. I weigh the potential rewards against the challenges and always have a plan. But at the end of the day, I remind myself that fear of failure should never be greater than the possibility of success. If something aligns with my purpose and has the potential to impact lives positively, I’m willing to take the leap
