Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
The Instruments 4 Kids Charity mission is to provide musical instruments and lessons to underprivileged/underserved children living in shelters around metro Atlanta for free.

It was founded by Rick Sanford and the talent team at A Blast Bands And DJs®/The Blast Band® as a way of giving back to the community it has so gratefully served for over 25 years. (ablastbandsanddjs.com)
We are driven to create lifetime impact experiences for these deserving kids… it’s something they will always remember and benefit from on many levels.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Our Instruments 4 Kids Charity launch was smooth overall without any major obstacles. Thanks to the internet, we were able to gather the information we needed to get up and running including incorporating, establishing a board of directors, and filing for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status which we received in 2021.

Instruments 4 Kids Charity Specializes In:
*Giving underserved children new & fun musical experiences that last a lifetime.
*Teaching kids the fundamentals of playing keyboards/piano, guitar, bass and drums so that they can all play a song together.

*Giving homeless kids their own musical instruments including electric keyboards, guitars, ukuleles, recorders… pretty much anything that will spark an interest in music.

Any big plans?
We would like to grow our outreach by bringing more instruments, teachers, and program opportunities to shelters across Metro Atlanta and beyond. Our goal is to make music accessible to as many underserved children as possible. Music changes lives and together with our supporters, we’re looking forward to making a difference in the community.
