We’re looking forward to introducing you to Jordan Howell & Julian Wright & Brandon Marshall. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Jordan & Julian & Brandon, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
I don’t think that people understand what all goes into sourcing shoes to sell. I think the perception is that it’s a straight line; A,B,C… boom, boom, boom. In reality, there’s a lot of moving parts very similar to a basketball team working in unison to get requested pairs on sneaker releases.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Jordan Howell, aside Julian Wright, and Brandon Marshall we run a sneaker cleaning and reselling company called Sneaks2Peeps. What makes us unique is that we are a hub for all things sneaker culture. From selling sneakers, cleaning and restoring sneakers, helping other resellers sell, selling team shoes to middle, high, and men’s league basketball teams, we do it all! We even sell football cleats for pound ball-high school/men’s league football players via Cleats2Peeps. We 3 have been friends since high school and have been immersed in sneaker culture even before then. Julian and Brandon resold sneakers in high school, while I was learning the craft of sneaker restoration. We’ve been in the game as a unit for 13 years and officially as a business since 2022.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Ego/pride. Love.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Never come close to almost giving up when in pursuit of purpose. Were there times where we took breaks, of course. But when you know without a doubt that you’re doing something that’s bigger than what you’re actually doing then you always go back to that thing and keep sowing into it until the harvest comes.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
J.Cole. It’s a blessing to have both money and fame and still be able to walk the streets with the common man.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Have you ever gotten what you wanted, and found it did not satisfy you?
The Nerf KD 4s were a grail when I was in high school and impossible to get. I was hype when they released this year but when I got them in hand they didn’t give me that thrill that I thought it would.
