We’re looking forward to introducing you to Bresean Pierce. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Bresean, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
Wow! This something I journal about too often lol. To answer that question… right now? I know I’m being called to step into my fullest potential. A lot of times I fight the battle of knowing how fire I am and owning it! vs. the fear of not being good enough. No matter what I’ma always be afraid of that! Anyone striving for something understands. So, now this go round it’s just me & GOD.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Well, my name is Bresean Pierce. Mostly known as “Heysobre” by my peers. I’m just a small town girl born & raised in Portsmouth, Va. I always thought fashion was force upon me. As a little girl my punishment would consist of spending time helping my grandma with things like alterations, being her live mannequin, helping with special dresses, or even weekly thrift store runs.
Growing up the smallest out of 5 kids! Hand-me-downs started to become a thing for me. The fashion girlies that get it?…gets it! I would randomly get the urge to customize old things and dress my friends and family. Even going as far as having sleepovers just to dress my friends in full thrift fits for the weekend.
A year after graduating high school my reputation grew into passion as a Wardrobe stylist/Influencer. That’s When I made the decision to be a Wardrobe stylist as my career. I start doing custom apparel, throwing fashion shows & even hand delivering pieces to get myself out there.
With all the hard work & consistency that god kept instilled in me…Here I am 8yrs later with a resume I didn’t even think of! Although there still more I’m working on with my brands: Heyso collections & StyleMeBre?! 2026 is gone be personal.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
What I use to believe vs now as a kid? me being different was a caution to my adult life. Growing up I wasn’t in to things like most girlies! I use to feel like my personality, my interest in certain things, my style & the music I listened to was so different from the people where I’m come from. I became the center of family & peers jokes. If you have a hood family? Most likely, Your family love language is jokes and talking junk.
For them it was just jokes for me it was first step into insecurity.
My outfits, music & hair expressions was the main thing that made my people/peers laugh even have them put limitations on my career & success. Although, I ain’t as far as I want to be now I’m damn sure further than where everyone put me & 100% better than what they made me out to be. I have GOD & my outside supporters to reassure me on that. I’m thankful!
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Bresean? All the things they laughed at before they love it now babes! Even when they act like they don’t. The love this ish girly. Keep going !!!
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
GOD. That’s it that’s all ! I came out of too many storms not to believe he isn’t capable or able. No debate need with me!
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
Journaling is my safe space. Since a kid that’s all I did anytime I ever express my feelings I felt like no one would get what or why I felt the way I felt. So I wrote it down! Me, my beats, my note book & pen. I’m invisible
