Janie Charlot-Bruce shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Janie , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Who are you learning from right now?
I am learning the most from creation right now! All that is created: humans, animals, nature, elements, music, the seasons of weather and time, emotions, thoughts, energy, and the list goes on! When we stay open to learning, creation will reveal it’s most profound wisdoms and truths to us.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a wife, mother, family nurse practitioner, transformational coach, and author. I focus on being a leader and innovator in the Health & Wellness Industry. With over 20+ years in the healthcare industry, I understand the importance of taking care of the whole person: Body, Mind, & Spirit. Over the years the healthcare system has had a “separated” approach to wellness. But the Body, Mind, & Spirit can no longer be separated if we want to achieve true health and wellbeing. The physical body keeps the score of our mental, emotional, and spiritual imbalances. What makes us unique in our business is that we blend body, mind, and spirit into our plans of care.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Hands down, the biggest impact on how I see the world today would be my own Spiritual Awakening. A Spiritual Awakening is a huge transformational process that collapses all the identities that the ego has built up for itself. The ego protects us as we move along in life, but it is not who we really are. We are energetic/spiritual beings having a physical experience we call life! But the ego gets caught up in the “Life” part and wants to run the show. So we go about life thinking we are defined by our titles and accolades (Doctor, Lawyer, Business Owner, Mother, Husband, CEO, etc.)….But the truth is, we are none of this! These are simply the tools we have picked up along the way on our spiritual journey in this Earth Classroom! The process of a Spiritual Awakening is about allowing the heart and soul to lead while the ego takes the back seat. Many times the ego uses our logic, and blocks out our hearts’ desires. This is how we can look up many years later and we are totally dissatisfied with life. We are stuck in relationships or jobs that no longer serve us, but we don’t know how to let them go to welcome in something more aligned with our soul calling. We look up, and don’t even know who we are because we’ve lived a life based on social and cultural programming. This type of personal healing and shift can be a huge transformative process! But Because of my own transformative experience of embodying the love and light of the soul, and releasing the ego; I am a more conscious healthcare provider. In our transformational coaching, we assist those who are at the cusp of any transformational process including spiritual awakenings. We help them with the necessary coaching, education, and tools to maintain balance during very transformative times!
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
I would say that my personal, but also the collective wound of humanity, would be seeking anything outside of ourselves! If we truly understood on a deep soul level that the love, peace, joy, abundance, worthiness, happiness, acceptance, health, healing, etc. all comes from WITHIN us; we would truly have Heaven on Earth! Again, my Spiritual Awakening was the greatest catalyst for this healing. Soul led, I began to remember how reality really works. We come to this Earth class room with a veil of forgetfulness. So its not that the soul doesn’t know who it is, the soul just has to remember who it is. We are also programmed the moment we are born. We are given a religion, a culture, an education, a race, and a set of societal norms. We are told that if we want to make it in this life, then we have to abide by the set of rules given. So we set out to “attain” success within the confined rules. But what this programming really does, it keeps us asleep. We are asleep to our true mission and purpose on the Earth this lifetime. We are asleep to how reality creation really works and operates. So in essence, Spiritual Awakening is when the alarm clock finally goes off and you wake up to who you really are!
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely! Authenticity is a core value for me. Alignment is a core value for me. Love is a core value for me. Balance is a core value for me. Health is a core value for me. All of these values are what I embody and give both in my home and in my business. We have to be the energy we wish to attract.

I know Immortality is real. The soul lives on and is ever expanding. I would continue to build on Love. Love is life and it’s ever expanding just like nature and all things we see in creation. We are just refining the soul through our various lessons so that we can contain more love and more light!
