Jasmin Rhia shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Jasmin, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
After hitting the snooze a few good times I start my morning off with a prayer. I then take about 15-30minutes meditating, journaling or reciting my affirmations. I view my calendar and start getting cute for the long day ahead!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Jasmin Rhia and I’m an Atlanta-based Musician and Teacher passionate about wellness and community. I play Violin, DJ, and produce music with Artists of Morality Records! Back in 2020 I started street performing along the Eastside trail of the Atlanta Beltline. Since then I’ve built a live entertainment business performing for special occasions ranging from intimate birthday parties to corporate events and weddings! One thing about me is I love bringing good vibes and don’t need a reason to celebrate life to the fullest!
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship with my Mother has got to be the most influential one in my life. Growing up she always showed me love and continues to remind me of my worth
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You don’t have to rush to figure it all out. You’re already enough just as you are
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
Resilience! Carrying the strength of my ancestors and being able to adapt to change without forgetting where I come from
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
The power of expressing gratitude for the smallest things in life is something I’ve learned over the years. Gratitude isn’t just a reaction to something good happening, it’s a practice that can change the way we feel even when things aren’t going our way. Not to mention it reduces stress and anxiety which I’m all about
