We’re looking forward to introducing you to Keon Hollis. Check out our conversation below.
Keon, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I’ve discovered a new passion for cooking and the joy it brings me when my friends and family try my food and are excited to eat it as much as I am. I’m considering exploring how I can take this newfound hobby to the next level.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
My grandfather, a middle school dropout, instilled in me the importance of hard work. To provide for his family, he had no choice but to work tirelessly and achieve success. During my early childhood summers, I spent my time helping my grandfather with various business ventures, including supplying poultry and wood to local restaurants, landscaping, and growing produce.
The lessons I learned during my younger years shaped me into the person I am today. They taught me the value of hard work, adaptability, and persistence in pursuing my goals.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
The most defining wound in my life was the near-fatal car accident that occurred in the fall of 2022. I sustained a broken neck and two broken legs, requiring me to relearn how to walk and chew food. The physical, emotional, and spiritual toll of that moment was immense. Doubts about myself and my purpose troubled me. However, leaning deeper into my faith and the unwavering support of my family helped me realize that I was here to serve a purpose.
The healing process from that accident revealed my incredible strength and determination. It not only enabled me to achieve my goals but also instilled in me the perseverance to enhance the quality of my life.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that supporting my loved ones is my top priority. I take pride in being there for them, often at the cost of my own well-being. I value teamwork and putting the betterment of the group above all else. “Nobody is bigger than the program.”
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
That hungry and driven kid from Lithonia, who loved music and his friends and family, whose values remained the same, worked hard, and didn’t mind doing whatever it took to achieve his goals. That love and appreciation for the city of Atlanta molded him into the person who could and would help shift the culture.
