Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Lexee Love of Suburbs of atlanta

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Lexee Love. Check out our conversation below.

Lexee, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
I believe it’s progress. A lot of people that have a passion for being an entrepreneur, artist, business owner or even a great parent. Seems to believe progress has a timeline. Ofcourse I fall in that category. But we must remember progress is a process and sometimes it’s slow and sometimes it’s fast. Either way, progress I believe is about building your resilience as well.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, I’m Lexee love. I’m an actress, writer, producer and director. I have written quite a few shorts for film festivals and others just for brand awareness. All of my projects can be found on YouTube. My current project I was cast in a music video as the judge. Is it a crime, sung by Mariah the scientist. It was an amazing experience. My first time on set with a very talented and popular music artist. I have also been cast in sci-fi movie. Filming begins in April 2026. This will follow my first feature film project, terror has a name. Tentatively filming in late 2026. I wrote this screenplay back in 2022. 6mpfilms read the first draft and loved it. We are in the process of getting funding for the project. And location. West Virginia has been on the top of the list. To learn more about terror has a name or even interested in funding www.oeoifilm.com I also had the pleasure of working on a commercial with auburn state university and a photo shoot. It has been an amazing year.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
My mother. She passed in 2020 from Alzheimer’s. But growing up she always taught me to be the best version of yourself in any room you step into. My mom worked in retail majority of her life. Born and raised in the deep south, opportunities weren’t always readily available. So when she met and married my father, she had the opportunity to see the world. Leaving the Deep South moving to California I believe opened her eyes to what she could actually achieve as a black American woman. And that is what she taught me and her children. I am so thankful I had a mother that experienced hardships but never allowed it to manifest in her children’s lives.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
I would say my mentality. As an actor we can be our worse critics. Even when a director or a casting agent says you did a fantastic job. I mentally think I could have done better. And it causes a fear of questioning yourself. Should I continue in this industry. What if they don’t like my work. What if my audition sucks. I believe fear is created in the mind then it manifests itself in the physical. I have overcome a lot of anxiety that leads to fear. But again it’s a process. I tell anyone that decides this industry is for you. Do it afraid. I promise you aren’t the only one.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
That would be a YES!! I am a very quiet person. I always read the room. When I’m alone I am quiet I don’t need entertainment or even a bunch of people around me. Actually it can be quite overwhelming for me. I’m the girl that will stand in the back and watch. But when I’m very comfortable and I’m around true friends that shy girl comes to life. So yes, if I’m in a small room, a large room, a private room with one or two people. My personality is the same.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
When I’m alone and praying. I find more joy connecting with my Father than anything. He gives me the clarity I need. The renewed mindset I need. The understanding I need and the courage to be the best version of myself. This also has taught me sometimes being alone is the peace I need most.
