Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Michael Elemba of Atlanta

We recently had the chance to connect with Michael Elemba and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Wake up, drink a glass of water, and pray with my wife as we read our daily devotional. Recently, I’ve been practicing the art of “grounding,” so after our morning rituals I step outside barefoot onto the grass, connecting with the earth and declaring that my day will be spectacular in every way, shape, and form.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Michael Elemba, professionally known as M.E., a 2x Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and vocal producer. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the industry’s most respected artists while also building a brand that represents authenticity, creativity, and global impact.

Beyond music, I’m an entrepreneur with a hands-on service company and expanding ventures in e-commerce and creative media. My brand thrives on blending artistry with business innovation—whether through writing Grammy-worthy songs, creating content that inspires, or scaling businesses that provide real value.

What makes my story unique is my commitment to excellence and legacy. I don’t just create music or run businesses; I aim to build platforms that empower others, foster creativity, and leave a lasting mark. Right now, I’m focused on new music releases, performance opportunities, and growing my entrepreneurial ventures—each move aligning with my bigger vision of inspiring people to pursue purpose, passion, and prosperity.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
I learned from amazing greats such as Bryan Michael Cox, Troy Taylor, Fred and Rodney Jerkins, etc

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that has held me back the most was not being accepted in the industry—worrying that people wouldn’t connect with my music or that critics and heavily opinionated voices would drown out my own. For a long time, I struggled with the weight of those opinions. But over time, I realized that fear is part of the journey, and I chose to embrace it as fuel instead of a barrier.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My wife and Valuable relationship with genuine souls.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
In prayer.
