We’re looking forward to introducing you to Sammie Beare. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Sammie, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
Pretty much both. My life has never been just a straight path or total wandering — it’s been phases, and every song I write reflects that. Loser Anthem was me embracing freedom and identity. Every Nickel Every Dime was me caught in the grind of debt and survival. Manic Depression spoke to the struggles of my generation, while tracks like Bored and Bloodshed captured the chaos and destruction I’ve lived through. Then songs like Gold, Egypt, and Say It Out Loud show me reclaiming resilience, power, and truth.
And the story isn’t done — I’ve got Versailles, Nasty, and Hollow Point Heaven on the way. They’re the next chapters: reflection, vengeance, and industrial chaos.
So yeah, I’m intentional enough to know where I want to go — but I wander enough to embrace the detours. Those detours become the songs. My path is in the work ethic, my wandering is in the stories I tell. Together, that’s my journey.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Sammie Beare — I’m a pop/alternative artist, songwriter, and creative based in Florida. My music is like a diary in motion, every track representing a different phase of my life — the highs, the chaos, the grind, the healing. I run under my own label, Hey Loser Media, and also build my clothing brand, LosersOnly™, which ties back into my message of self-expression and embracing who you are, flaws and all.
What makes my work unique is that I don’t just make songs, I make worlds — each release has its own energy and story, and together they trace the path and detours I’ve taken to get here. Right now I’m focused on Say It Out Loud, which I just released, and I have new music like Versailles, Nasty, and Hollow Point Heaven on the way. My journey is all about turning struggle into sound and giving people something real to connect with.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was just someone trying to figure it all out. In a past relationship I was told I’d be nothing without them, and honestly I think a lot of what I’ve built came from spite — working from the ground up to prove them wrong. Now I own a home, I’m building businesses, managing rentals, and releasing music on my own terms. I never let people like that define me or control my future — I use that energy to fuel me instead.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that’s held me back the most is not moving fast enough to keep up with algorithms. The world expects constant content, instant results, and nonstop growth — and sometimes it feels like if you pause to breathe or create at your own pace, you’ll be left behind. As an artist, I’ve had to learn to balance that pressure with staying true to myself, because my music comes from real life and real experiences, not just chasing trends.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What truths are so foundational in your life that you rarely articulate them?
A truth that’s foundational in my life is that I can always rebuild myself, no matter how many times I’ve been broken down. I rarely say it out loud because I just live it — through my music, my businesses, and the way I’ve built my life from the ground up. Another truth is that freedom matters more to me than fitting in. I’d rather be a ‘loser’ on my own terms than a winner living by someone else’s rules.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If immortality were real, what would you build?
If immortality were real, I’d build a legacy bigger than myself — a world where my music, my brand, and my story outlive me. I’d create spaces for people who feel like outsiders to belong, and I’d also use that time to give back. I’ve always wanted to support animals in need, especially through my local shelter. If the money ever arose, I’d find creative ways to raise funds — even running festivals — to make sure animals got the care they deserve. With more time, I could build not just music and art, but real change for the causes I love.
