Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Tiffany Burgess

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Tiffany Burgess. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I play basketball on a co-ed team once a week in Buckhead.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Tiffany Elle Burgess is a multifaceted creative professional whose work spans acting, writing, and producing. She made her big-screen debut in the 2023 film adaptation of The Color Purple, portraying Olivia, the daughter of the main character, Celie, played by Fantasia Barrino. Her acting credits also include appearances in ABC’s The Wonder Years and the award-winning short film, Glitter Ain’t Gold, produced by Common. Her contributions to the industry have earned her recognition within various circles.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
My mother. She is the oldest of 13 children and a retired English teacher. Her work ethic and faith are unmatched.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Life and time are precious. Do it…whatever the goal is, go for it. As they say, do it scared….do it when others doubt you……trust God and do it.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My faith, family and them (my friends). Oh and of course, good health!

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I was fun and funny…that I lived life and loved hard. Most importantly, I hope they say I was a good person.
