Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Titus Rowell

We recently had the chance to connect with Titus Rowell and have shared our conversation below.

Titus, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Who are you learning from right now?
Honestly, I’m learning from myself right now. I’ve been learning what my flaws have been for the past couple of years and really been improving on myself. Just been doing some self reflecting.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi my name is Titus Rowell. I’m a cosplayer, streamer, and craft props and or anything cosplay related.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My most recent relationship. They mainly inspired me and motivated me to do more than i actually could. To stay motivated and to never give up.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
All the time, and most recently. But I always remember what one of my friends told me. They literally said “We never give up, we push through and always win”.

This past summer when I was talking to another friend and i was working on a craft and having doubts, the told me this ” You have come through each time winning, so i expect the same this year. Tell that you might not finish it ish to someone that don’t know you”.

That really motivated me to fish and both of their words will always stick to my head.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes the public version of me is the real me, but i just started to work on being honest with myself and others around me. When I say that, I’m starting to tell people what is on my mind and setting boundaries. I started to learn the setting boundaries are important, so that people wont walk over you or use you or treat you any kind of way.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Have you ever gotten what you wanted, and found it did not satisfy you?
No i actually haven’t. I’m still working towards what I want and what will make me happy. I feel like this whole year I’ve been trying to figure that out.
