Life & Work with Cayla McLeod of Peachtree City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cayla McLeod.

Cayla, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started learning to fly when I was 16 years old at the Peach State Aerodrome, about 45 minutes south of Atlanta. I’m 26 now and a certificated private pilot and aviation journalist.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not a smooth road at times, especially in the beginning with the death of my flight instructor in an aircraft accident, the cost of aviation, and COVID.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a traveling aviation journalist raised on the south side of ATL. I write about airplanes and the people that fly them!

How do you define success?
Success is achieving exactly what you want to achieve in life… not what other people define success as.
