Life & Work with Crystal Evans

Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Evans.

Hi Crystal, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Fitness has always been my passion. Being a Track and Field Athlete in high school and college made me have a direct interest in all things fitness. After graduating from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, I started right into the fitness industry. In 2012, I started a local BootCamp in the area, Revamp Health and Fitness. I trained hundreds of women in the city and made a name for myself.

In 2018, my husband and I decided to transition to GA to take both of our careers to its next level. I started in Atlanta, GA as a Personal Training Manager for Crunch fitness, where I am still training and teaching group fitness at the Roswell location. With that, my ultimate goal was to start a brand with my husband that featured our own athletic apparel. In July of 2019, we did just that. Bold By Crystal Andrea was birthed. We used a great deal of knowledge from my background in the fitness industry and his commercial photography background and made my dream a reality. We invested money, time and knowledge to creating a brand for women of all shapes and sizes. Our goal is the allow women to be who they truly are. Bold, confident and unapologetic in their own skin.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
COVID-19 was one of our biggest challenges. Having to deal with manufacturers over seas, things were getting delayed, business trips were put on hold, shipping pricing became insane, but we didn’t quit. We used a great bit of time promoting our brand, providing free content during the shutdown and really driving business from home. It definitely wasn’t easy but we learned and grew so much during that time. It allowed us to really focus on what we wanted to bring to our customers and how to plan ahead each season.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Everything I do is centered around fitness. I’m a professional fitness trainer and NPC figure competitor who owns her own fitness brand and clothing line. Bold by Crystal is known for our signature Bow Tie Leggings and unique style in shapewear. I’m most proud of our quality. That’s what really sets us apart. Quality and professionalism. I think being a small business and being able to be hands-on with your customers and provide them excellent quality says a lot.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Being humble and being able to adjust is what got us here. Being able to make mistakes and adjust accordingly without falling victim to defeat is how we were able to succeed.
