Hi Decardrea, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey started when I was 13 years old, living in Panama City Beach, FL at the time. My Mom would not get my hair braided, so she took me to the hair store and I braided my hair; the rest is history. In high school, I received my braiding license at 17 years old. At 20, I had my own shop! It took hard work a dedication. My parents always pushed us to do anything we wanted no matter what it took. And I do just that! 2018 hurricane Michael came and destroyed my shop. That didn’t stop me; I picked up my pieces expanding to Tampa, Orlando and Miami. Now I have currently expanded to Atlanta! I am a traveling Braider so I’m constantly on the move from state to state! My brother has even joined the team and is cutting hair as well @Donthebarber850!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Honestly, it’s really what you make it. I look at everything as a new opportunity. At first, I struggled with trusting myself. It took a lot of prayers and believing in myself. But if I didn’t take the leap of faith, I wouldn’t be in this position if in today. I also thank god for amazing parents that were very supportive in my process!

I am a licensed hair braider in the state of Florida. I specialize in hair braiding techniques such as Knotless braids, box braids, feed-in braids and many more styles! I’m known for my $100 Knotless braids hair included! I am proud of how far I came; my work definitely speaks for its self! What sets me apart is that I’m professional, consistent, and patient with all my clients! Most importantly, my prices are affordable. My med knotless takes 2 hrs-3hrs max! I aim for more clients (traffic) then to have a few high paying clients.
