Life & Work with Glenn Brown III of Atlanta, Georgia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Glenn Brown III.

Glenn, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It all started in Lutcher, Louisiana. Growing up in such a cultural state like Louisiana it was easy for me to express myself. To fall in love with art and respecting true artistry. I always had an obsession with film and TV. It started when I was young my grandmother, sister, and I used to watch 10 to 15 movies a day. That was our way of bonding. As time went by I knew the film industry was something I was going to pursue someday but i didn’t know exactly when. When I was younger I always was in front of the camera making videos and uploading them to Facebook for people to see. In high school I had a YouTube channel that has 1,000+ subscribers. I would do skits, pranks, vlogs, and reaction videos. That was earlier signs that I love being around the camera. In the mist of that I was able to sign a D1 scholarship for football to The Southern University and get my degree in Journalism. Once I graduated and realized I wasn’t going to the NFL I used that opportunity to pursue a career in Acting, Writing, and Directing. So, I went to drama school and attended Catapult Studios. Since then I was able to work with director Boots Riley and be a stand in for actor Lakeith Standfield. Had an opportunity to do stunt work for Chad Powers by Tony Yacenda and appeared on a new horror film Weapons.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Anything worth having doesn’t come easy. The road has been bumpy but when you love doing what you do and decide to take that sacrifice. You can’t no longer complain. The one struggle that I face is having relationships. Whenever I decided to pursue this career I didn’t know anybody that was doing it. Like anything in life it’s not always about what you can do but who you know. So to replace that my goal is to become undeniable.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an actor, writer, and director who specializes in storytelling that captures truth and authenticity. My background in Drama school and Journalism shaped me into a disciplined, resilient creative who isn’t afraid of hard work. What I’m most proud of is the versatility I bring to my craft whether it’s acting on set, writing original scripts, or stepping into the director’s role, I approach every opportunity with passion and a deep respect for the art form. What sets me apart is my journey. Coming from Lutcher, Louisiana, I didn’t grow up surrounded by the film industry or connections, so everything I’ve achieved so far has come from persistence, sacrifice, and an undeniable love for the work.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I’m continuing to audition for roles while also writing a short film script that I’ll be submitting to film festivals. Every step I take is part of making my dreams a reality.
