Today, we’d like to introduce you to Jamyah Leigh.

Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started from/lived in D.C./Maryland and moved to Atlanta in the fall of 2021, starting out as a freshman at Georgia State University at 17 years old.

The move was big for me as a teen coming from a small town; I began to get into networking, modeling, and growing my platform as a fashion, lifestyle, and beauty influencer! (Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube).

Moving to Atlanta I’ve grown a lot and learned so much about industry, business, connections and myself as well! I currently live in my second apartment located in Atlanta, still working and growing as a model, social media content creator/influencer, and starting my own business as well “XLEIGH” @xleigh.co.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As life is, the roads are up and down, but we will never see the ups if we don’t grow and excel from the downs! Some struggles I faced along the way were growing up as a young teen/adult living on my own in the city, going through life, new relationships and connections, balancing school and social life, and gaining/learning new responsibilities as a young adult.

Also not getting discouraged about my progress, a lot of times these days it’s easy to get distracted on your own journey when social media allow you to see insights on other people journeys as well! Comparison is the thief of joy, & God designs everyone’s paths different, if we were all destined to be the same what would make us unique?

Staying consistent and focus is a key for growing and staying locked on your own special, unique, and beautiful journey and path to better find yourself and your OWN purpose.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a creative! I’m an artist and painter (showcased on my social media, my paintings and projects).

Painting is a way for me to relax, let my creativity move through me, and express myself. I’m also a social media content creator and influencer; I work with brands such as Fashion Nova, PSD underwear, Puma, Edhardy, and other major companies and hair brands, expressing and influencing my supporters on my platform through my creativity.

I also Model for fashion, beauty and lifestyle. I’m most proud of my progress I’ve made and growing into a beautiful confident young adult since moving to Atlanta on my own at 17 years old! Gaining a following of over 200,000 accumulated followers on all my social media platforms.

I work with my favorite brands, modeling for major companies/productions, films, and music videos, all on my own with no management or agency, while expressing my creativity and documenting to my followers!

How do you define success?
Success isn’t about how much money you make or how many people you know.

Success is finding your own purpose and happiness in life and prospering/excelling in it! Everyone’s path and journey is unique and different, but FINDING and understanding your own is what will unlock your true inner success.
