Life & Work with Jasmine King

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine King.

Hi Jasmine, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself. 
Well, I am originally from Fort Lauderdale, South Florida. I was born in Miami. I have two younger brothers & I am 31 years old. Content creation never crossed my mind at all.  

It was just a random thought that came to mind. I started making little videos, and then when I started getting the audience’s attention, I continued to make more. I am an aspiring model and actress. Most of my content is lil’ skit stories that I play out from movie scenes. I make up random stories for them, lip-sync the movie scene & create them. 

When I noticed those types of videos were getting so much attention on my YouTube, TikTok, & Instagram, I just started creating more. Been through a lot of stuff as a child with my brother’s dad with something very messed up that happen to me that I rather not go into details that I honestly just decided to do something that I thought was fun and would be something I would love. 

I’m signed up with a talent agency called Nine, and I have gotten a few gigs booked for me that I’m excited about. Acting was never in my mind to do; it was mostly wanting to model, but when people saw my videos & told me I should get into it, I just decided to take that step and get into acting.  

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Living in Florida was a difficult road for me; I didn’t get the attention I was looking for or offers. But I did realize with what I was doing, my audience was mostly in Georgia & Texas. So, I decided.  

To make that move, I ended up moving to Atlanta to pursue my Acting/Modeling career, and honestly, since moving here, I getting notice from the high following I have with all my social media accounts, different places wanting to work with me museum of illusion wanted me to come to their museum and show off my content there because they told me they liked my content on my social media so I was very excited about that.  

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe you can tell us more about your work next?
I make videos, reels on Instagram, and lil’ skits on TikTok & I’m also a coming-up YouTube that randomly blew up for me. I have 4K subscribers on YouTube just from the creation I made with my videos. 

Moving to Snellville and getting my nice townhome here is something I’m very proud of because I did that all by myself with the help of no one. I hope to go very far with my content & hopefully get more offers and notice more about what I do. 

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Basically, don’t let anyone or anything stop you from following your dreams.  

I allowed a very unstable situation I was in to kind of stop me from keeping my focus, and I just feel like if I was still in that situation with this man, I would be where I am today. It’s not much, but I’m very proud of my success, and I’m sure you will see more of me.
