Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Rodriguez

Hi Jasmine, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My floral business began as a side hustle during my high school years, balancing it with a part-time job and varsity athletics. As I transitioned to college, I decided to focus solely on my floral venture to supplement my income while pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. During my time as a collegiate women’s soccer player, I continued to grow my business from a home-based operation.

A significant turning point came in December 2023 when I was presented with the opportunity to expand. Recognizing the limitations of working from a guest bedroom, I seized the chance to open a brick-and-mortar storefront. Located at 1128 Redbud Rd. NE., Calhoun, GA, the shop officially opened its doors on January 13, 2024.

Completing my college degree in May 2024, I’ve been able to dedicate myself fully to my floral business. The storefront is a source of immense pride, allowing me to offer a wider range of products and services to my clients. I enjoy interacting with customers in person, providing a professional and high-quality experience. That has lead me to open my Jassfloralss Supply business as well as my Jassfloralssweddingss business. More information is found on our blog called @faithflowersfuture ! I am working towards going to grad school next fall 2025 for my JD.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
While I’ve experienced tremendous growth and fulfillment, the journey hasn’t been without its challenges. One of the biggest hurdles was balancing the demands of running a business with the responsibilities of being a student-athlete. Time management was crucial, and I often found myself juggling late-night deliveries, early-morning practices, and studying sessions. Additionally, building a loyal customer base from scratch required consistent effort and creative marketing strategies. There were also financial challenges associated with startup costs, inventory management, and seasonal fluctuations. However, with perseverance and a passion for floral design, I’ve been able to overcome these obstacles and establish a thriving business. I had opened my brick-and-mortar with the preparation of 1 month and the ideas from 6 years in business. As we only opened in January, we took time off due to the passing of my father in March. He was the biggest motivation to always reach for my goals and to never give up. He was a big supporter of everything I did and always believed in Jassfloralss Floral Design from the very beginning.
