Life & Work with Jazz Anderson of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazz Anderson

Hi Jazz, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I fell in love with poetry and hip-hop/rap music at only thirteen years old. The older I got, the more I used music to express myself and convey my emotions and feelings in a healthy manner.

I am a lover of art and creativity, which is another reason I wanted to pursue acting again in 2020. Whether the role is true to who I am or not, acting gives me an outlet to be expressive and imaginative.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Due to me coming from two celebrity parents, most people often think I am only trying to ride their coat tail, instead of realizing I too am passionate about what I do in the entertainment industry and talented and dedicated to it as well. Give my work a chance before judging me off of my name!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
When it comes to my rap career, I was featured in the Bet Hip Hop Awards cypher in 2019. I also dropped a Mother’s Day rap visual this year that amassed over 500K views; it was a freestyle remix to “Dear Sumner” by J. Cole & Summer Walker. I am most known for my heavy and bold freestyles. In 2023 I had the pleasure of rapping on Rap Economics, which was viewed over a million times on social media and was deemed as “epic” by The Source.

On the flip side, when it comes to my acting career, I starred alongside Remy Ma and Tami Roman in a Lifetime filmed called “Girl in the Closet”, which released in 2023 and can be watched on Hulu now.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I’ve started to take acting serious and as a result, I’ve been blessed to book a couple of projects (film & television) that will be released in the fourth quarter this year or at the top of next year. At the moment I am filming for a movie called “Armstrong 2”. The first part of the movie which I starred in, can be seen now on Amazon Prime & Tubi.
