Today we’d like to introduce you to Shantell Mcmillon

Hi Shantell, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey started in Seattle, where I first discovered my passion for acting at a young age. Over the years, I worked hard to hone my craft by performing in local productions and building my skills. A few months ago, I decided to take a bold step and move to Atlanta, knowing it’s becoming a major hub for the entertainment industry.

Even though I’ve only been here a short time, I’ve been fortunate enough to land an audition for a major role in the highly anticipated TV series Dirty Dollars. This opportunity feels like a huge milestone in my career, and I’m really excited about what’s ahead.

It’s been an incredible journey so far, and I’m looking forward to continuing to pursue my dreams in acting and seeing where this path takes me.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that’s part of the journey in this industry. One of the biggest challenges has been starting fresh in a new city. Moving from Seattle to Atlanta meant leaving behind everything familiar—my family, friends, and my support system. Adjusting to a new environment while pursuing a career in acting has been both exciting and overwhelming at times.

Another challenge has been navigating the competitive nature of the industry. There are so many talented people vying for the same roles, so learning to handle rejection and stay motivated has been tough. But I’ve learned that persistence is key, and every “no” gets me closer to a “yes.”

Despite the challenges, each struggle has made me more resilient and even more determined to succeed. I’m learning to embrace the ups and downs because they’re all part of the process.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an actress, and Model I specialize in bringing characters to life in a way that feels authentic and relatable. I focus on connecting deeply with each role, whether it’s through drama, comedy, or something in between. My goal is always to make the audience feel something, to create moments that resonate long after the story ends.

What I’m most proud of is my ability to adapt and continuously grow in my craft. Each project has allowed me to stretch my skills, take on new challenges, and collaborate with incredible people, which has been extremely rewarding.

What sets me apart is my dedication to storytelling and my ability to tap into the emotional core of a character. I approach each role with empathy, and I think that allows me to create performances that are both grounded and impactful. It’s this deep connection to the work and my passion for the craft that I believe makes me stand out in this industry.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I’ve been fortunate to have incredible support along the way. One of the biggest contributors to my journey has been Platinum Models Agency. They’ve been instrumental in helping me land my major audition for Dirty Dollars. The agency has provided guidance, connections, and the encouragement I needed to pursue bigger opportunities in the industry.

In addition to the agency, my family and friends have been my constant cheerleaders, offering support every step of the way. Their belief in me has kept me motivated, especially during tough times. I’m incredibly grateful for all the people who have played a role in helping me get to where I am today.
