Hi Teara, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello my name is Teara Ferrell owner and CEO of Temedley Touch LLC . We specialize in custom handpainted press on nails . My business began from me being a stay at home mom to 2 children , One (daughter) who is on the autism spectrum and considered non-verbal . I have to stay close at all times so it was difficult for me to leave for work or try to maintain a lifestyle outside of being a mom . I have always been an artist (singer,painter,hairstylist, you name it ) and I decided to dive into a craft I could do at home which birthed my press on nail business. I began painting nails to occupy my time while she was up at night. Maison began to take an interest in painting which gave us something to do together in the middle of the night . Maison and I ended up with a lot of painted nails and a friend of mine actually bought all of our sets which made me think this could actually become a business.
My business has been up and running since 2022 and still growing everyday . My website (TemedleyTouch.com) provides custom (reusable) press on nails at great prices. My goal is to help women enhance their nail care beauty at home and on the go no matter the circumstance. Mom life can get pretty hectic but we still deserve to feel beautiful. I want to “Touch” those who don’t have time to go to the salon or take time out for themselves.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My business flourished from a simple idea being up countless sleepless nights with my daughter . The hardest task has been to find the down time to work on my business and to stay self motivated . When starting your own business it is hard to stay focus and work towards something that may or may not work out but with the support of friends and family I have been able to push through . My nails are all created from love. I wanted to have times where I could still feel beautiful and put together regardless of what was going on around me. Press on nails are easy to apply and take off so you can switch from being super mom to the diva you want to be in minutes . As I mom I don’t have the time to leave and pamper myself but this now allows me to make myself beautiful at home and help others do the same .

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My nails are custom handpainted nails that I create in my down time . I believe what sets me apart is the creativity I put into each set . I try to step out the box with a lot of my designs and my customers seems to love that the most .

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
The best advice I can give is to always set time aside out the day to dedicate to your craft … whatever that might be . It’s mainly about self motivation and once you have conquered that … there is no stopping you from making your dreams a reality .
