Today we’d like to introduce you to Audrey Williams.
Hi Audrey, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am the epitome of “…the blood STILL works!”, “His grace is sufficient” and “the semicolon made a difference!” From abandonment to depression, to abuse, to homelessness, etc. My story is still being written however it started when I was formed in my mother’s womb yet my testimonies, trials/tribulations and life lessons has reassured me that just like every building there is an exit sign. Indicating that I am stuck in NO-THING! I learned that my strength today is due to my weakness back then! God instilled something in my dna that forbids me from quitting. Yes bad decisions slowed me down, yes the spirit of loneliness creates more kind trouble, etc. but no midnight experience superseded a touch from my creator!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Of course not! I’ve been in numerous accidents that totaled vehicles yet left me untouched. Been in a verbal and sometimes abusive relationship yet survived. Diagnosed with an incurable disease yet succeeded beyond the limitations the doctors believe I should have. An eviction, two repossessions, living in hotels, my car, sleeping on people’s floor, couch, etc. But here is my BUT GOD moment! Because none of that was the end of me, it was only testimony adjustments. My life is greater now than it has ever been therefore I am obligated to tell every struggle, moment of pain and frustration. THANK YOU!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a singer, actress and author. I specialize in using my soulful voice and writing delivering authenticity through song more than anything! What am I most proud of? I would have to say being an author. Because it is one thing to give someone crumbs from the crazy tables positioned in front of them yet another thing to get to the root of your issues, seek legit healing and deliverance beyond every pain experienced. Not being concerned with possible backlash because your story is just that and no one can’t tell you how you should have felt then. Your experience is just that.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, music and barbies was my best friends (lol). I stayed to myself in my room playing and when I was done, it was always time to go back to church. I loved going to church, hearing the traditional sound and the word. Whether I understood everything or not, my soul was anchored and the church will always be a part of who I am!
