Meet Bree Camacho

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bree Camacho.

Hi Bree, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am a 21-year-old nail artist from a small town called Athens, GA. My journey began in the fall of 2017 when I started working at a nail salon in my local mall. I performed pedicure and manicure services for about a year. After a year, I was about to graduate high school and had no idea what kind of career I wanted to get into, all I knew was that I had a love for art. I slowly started to practice acrylic nails and eventually taught myself well enough to get attention throughout the city. What made me stand out was that I knew how to draw and stayed up to date with the newest trends. After I began to have a steady clientele, I left the nail salon and started my independent practice. This was a pivotal moment in my career. It was then I realized my true potential as an entrepreneur and as an artist. Bling By Bree was born.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest obstacle I’ve had to overcome has to do with my upbringing. Growing up in foster homes to being on my own at only 15 years old was not an easy journey, but it shaped me into the person I am today. Another obstacle I face is people not taking me serious because of my age. Although I’m young, I’ve not only succeeded but I’ve exceeded the expectations of being a business owner. Starting at absolutely nothing will make you appreciate the highs at a different level. I love to share my story with others because it inspires people to follow their dreams regardless of their circumstances. With hard work and consistency, anything is possible.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My work is very unique in a sense that I think outside of the box. I take pride in being versatile with my style. Although I love to draw, I enjoy everything from simple nails to nails that will stop you in your tracks. There’s nothing I can’t do or won’t try.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success to me is finding peace and happiness within each and everything that I do. Making women feel more confident while building relationships with them brings me a lot of happiness and I’m thankful I was blessed with this career path.
