Meet Briana Nixon of Core Truth Clothing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Briana Nixon.

Hi Briana, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Wow. How I started. I actually started back in August of 2020 with another brand, but it wasn’t God-led and I wasn’t passionate about it. I know I wanted to start a business and I knew I wanted it to be a clothing business, but that’s all I had. I really kept praying and praying until I got my brand. That’s how Core Truth Clothing came about. I had the name and the purpose behind it came naturally. I’m big on staying true to your core. I’m big on not changing who you are and your core values and what you believe in no matter the people you encounter or the circumstances you come to face. I’ve been through a lot in my life. I’ve overcame a lot of obstacles, and I believe through all of that, I haven’t changed my core and my values to this day. That’s why I’m so passionate about my brand now. Where I am today is nothing but God. No seriously. If it wasn’t for me finding God for myself and trusting Him, there would be no Core Truth Clothing.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
NOT AT ALL. I had to learn patience. I had to learn that everybody is not going to support you. Not even those that you feel should and would, and that’s okay. I had to learn that at the end of the day, this is my brand. It has my name on it. I can’t expect to do something 50% and get 100% results. Nah, it don’t work like that. Plus, having a business was new to me. All of it. I didn’t know about vendors or Shopify or marketing or none of that. There were days I would get frustrated and just want to give up, but that isn’t in me. I had to keep pushing.

We’ve been impressed with Core Truth Clothing, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Core Truth Clothing is a unisex clothing brand uplifting and encouraging people to stay true to their core values no matter any circumstances they encounter. No matter the different people they encounter. That no matter what, your core makes you who you are and to stay true to it. The thing about my brand is it isn’t just for kids or young adults like me. It’s for any age group because everybody needs to know the core truth and stay true to it. I’m most proud about how much this brand is growing so far. From a number of sales to even the locations, I’ve been shipping orders to. I’m proud.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory is playing basketball in the AAU championship in Orlando, Florida, and being put into The Best Basketball Players of AAU book.
